Kiera hadn't finished her sentence when Erin casually walked over and interrupted her: "Actually, what she wants to say is, I'm quite a nice person. Mary, big sister, can you treat me as a close friend and hang out with me in the future?"
Mary: ??
Mary looked at Kiera with confusion.
Kiera frowned and tightened her jaw.
Erin simply smiled and said, "Alright, Oliver is waiting for you over there… big sister, hurry up and go!"
Mary looked at Kiera again.
Kiera wanted to say something more, but Mary suddenly leaned close to her ear and whispered, "Keera, I don't care who you are. All I know is, you'll always be my good friend."
Kiera was taken aback.
Mary smiled at her and patted her on the shoulder. "I'm heading home now."
Kiera gave a small nod.
After Mary walked away, Kiera finally let out a bitter smile.
Indeed.
