It was Shen Yiguang; Xiao Xu hadn't come over.
When Yang Pei Min asked, Shen Yiguang just said, "He has other things to do."
She nodded and, noticing it was still mealtime, suggested, "Let's find a restaurant and eat before we go back."
Shen Yiguang readily agreed and then asked her, "Haven't you been eating well at school? What have you eaten these past couple of days? Are you accustomed to living there? How are you getting along with your classmates?"
The cafeteria served meals based on how much you paid, and Yang Pei Min wasn't one to shortchange herself. She had meat or eggs with every meal. The meat dishes were average, but it was better than the less savory options.
Yang Pei Min cheerfully recounted the school happenings to him, "Our dorm is amazing, already in the zone even without classes, and once classes started, it's like a total immersion, everyone's so studious. Next to them, I feel like I'm just here for fun."
