Chapter 61 - - Some Beer.

The day had passed; it was already evening. Divine Hesoyam Rosa closed the shutters while sipping on a can of beer and wearing Frizz's sleeveless shirt that was almost lost during their spar.

Frizz leaned against a wall, studying an M1911 pistol that he looted some time ago before tossing it inside his system inventory. Stored like the rest.

Despite their earlier spar, the two showed no discernable injuries or damages. There was, however, a slight tension lingering in the air.

"Ahem. Want some beer?" Divine offered, waving a beer.

"Yes, toss me one," Frizz said, pulling all his hidden loot from beneath the mattress into his inventory

"You have a lot of money. Why aren't you spending it?"

Frizz paused, thinking of a proper reply. "You know, I never really had the chance, and now that I think about it. It's about time to get a new phone. One of those powerful models."

"That always bugged me. Why don't you have a phone?"

Frizz cracked open the can of beer, sipping and staring at the immaculate floor. "I got robbed. I thought I could handle two carjackers until one of them pulled out a gun."

Divine stared at a wide mirror, checking out her figure while listening to Frizz.

"No wonder. When you're below level ten, you're honestly just another human with a few gimmicks up your sleeve. You can't do much."

Divine approached the bed and gestured for permission to sit beside him. Frizz obliged, and the two clinked their beer cans together, cheering.

There was a slight hesitation inside Divine, noting that their earlier spar may have soured their relationship. When it came to strong opponents, it proved rather difficult to contain her lust for battle.

"Listen, about earlier..."

"It was a good fight. I understand why you act like that now."

"Huh?"

Frizz's comment surprised Divine, unexpecting that reply. "W-w-what do you mean?"

"I enjoyed it. I get to use a lot of my skills and perks. Most of the time I get to barely use everything in my arsenal. Most of the time, a single weak punch will do."

Divine smiled, breathing a sigh of relief. An idea formed in her head. For her, Frizz needed more experience and lessons. She was planning to groom him into a perfect fighter.

The door suddenly opened, and Weng barged in with a huge smile on his face. "Frizz! Was that your work in InfiniWorks!? I love it. You're getting very close to becoming the perfect hero!"

Weng instantly paused, seeing Frizz and Divine seated in the bed, next to each other. Divine smiled, waving a hello.

"You're Weng, right? Frizz told me all about you!"

The door instantly closed as it opened, with a loud bang. "I am sorry! I didn't know you had someone over. I apologize again!" Weng apologized, heading down the stairs.

Frizz facepalmed, misunderstandings weren't easy to handle. Divine smiled, poking Frizz with her elbow. "Your brother looked cute. Did he ever get into modeling?"

"Yes and no. He was approached by an agent before because he used to model for some bakery and a clothing store but he declined the offer due to academic reasons." Frizz recalled with a smile since he was the impromptu photographer.

"He knows about you right? That's why you told Hei not to fully erase his memories." Divine added, pausing.

"What was that about InfiniWorks?"

"He gave me a tip. That an agency were scamming foreigners and I have to stop them." Frizz added, tossing a can into the trash bin, basketball style. It didn't go in.

Divine beamed a smile, thinking of an idea. "How'd you like to patrol the streets? For destressing?"

Three hours later...

The road was quiet, barren, and empty. The only company that the two had were the flickering street lights and the occasional vehicle passing by.

Divine was carrying a pack of beer whereas Frizz gazed forward, on alert.

The idea of a foot patrol crossed Frizz's mind before but found it boring and unassuming since most of the criminals he has beaten mostly operated during the day.

(Even the bad guys sleep too.) Frizz noted, picking up a stick and waving it around.

Divine kept on drinking, it was her eleventh can of beer tonight yet she showed no signs of inebriation. Frizz assumed that it was either a perk or her high level.

"This week alone, there were two muggings here on this road. Anyways, want some beer?"

"I haven't quite built the resistance yet. Four is enough for me." Frizz rejected, sighing. "We've been walking for an hour now. Where are we going?"

Divine scoffed, chuckling. "Nowhere. We're out on patrol. We go nowhere, mainly walking the streets."

"Some excitement will do wonders."

Divine chuckled, trying to ease his impatience. "We'll get there."

A scream, almost imperceptible, alerted Divine. Her expression straightened as she gestured for Frizz to follow her. The two then took off to the sky.

In the distance, up ahead in the road were two young women getting harassed by four male teenagers. The four ganged up on the two, not letting them pass by.

Divine and Frizz landed in the distance, slowly approaching and listening in on the conversation. "If anything happens, you can intervene. I imagine that you want to blow off some steam." she suggested, winking.

"Please, let us go. We don't want any trouble." A young woman cried out, begging.

The tallest of the group stepped forward, wielding a rebar. "Shut the fuck up, bitch. I told you so many fucking times already to not show your faces here. You two got a hearing problem?"

"We always pass by here, we live near here. What the hell do you want from us!? Leave us alone!"

The rebar-wielding teenager stepped forward, face fuming. "You better be fucking careful. There are a lot of trees here and it is so very quiet. You don't want anything to fucking happen."

"That's enough. This country is already in the shitter and teenagers like you are making it worse." Frizz intervened, unable to stand back.

Divine stood back, watching everything with a huge smile.

The four teenagers were visibly disturbed. They didn't expect anyone to come by. There was a pause until Frizz's form was shown by the streetlights.

"Mind your own business, sir."

"Mind my own business? You threatened these two women with something nasty and also you're barely an adult. Don't you have any shame?" Frizz snapped, spitting.

Frizz glanced at his wristwatch. "It's already nighttime. Why are you teenagers out here? Did your parents run out of welfare checks to feed you?" He said, approaching the teenager.

"What the hell did you say, sir!?" The teenager snapped back, recognizing the insult.

When the two were in close distance, Frizz instantly grabbed the teenager's arm and gripped it. The teenager dropped the rebar as he punched Frizz's abdomen several times.

"I hate criminals but I hate delinquent teenagers even more. Especially those who threaten with sexual attacks. You're a disgrace to your bloodline." Frizz barked, breaking the teenager's arm.

"AAHH! Help!" The teenager cried out to his friends who were observing the whole encounter. Unable to do anything. Frizz held the head of the teenager and kneed it, knocking him out. *Whack!*

The other three ran away as fast as they could, not bothering to turn around. Frizz dropped the unconscious body on the ground and twitched his fingers, sending a telekinetic wave and causing the three to trip, hitting their faces on the cold hard ground.

"I hate the people here sometimes. They can't even be bothered to raise their children right. Filthy sub-humans and a waste of government money."

Frizz snarked, letting out his thoughts as his eyes darted to the two terrified young women. "Are you two okay? These four won't be bothering you anymore."

The two young women looked at each other before slightly bowing their heads in gratitude. The other young woman's eyes were on the verge of tears. "T-thank you. They were always harassing us."

"Why though? What did you two do?"

"We may have insulted them a couple of days earlier but they started it! They started catcalling us, shouting names, and asking for numbers."

The other young woman commented, patting her friend on the back.

"They were like nineteen while you two looked twenty-three or something. This fucking town man. No respect for their elders or the age gap."

Divine chortled, recognizing the hypocrisy. (Frizz, you're not exactly respectful to older figures either.)

"Anyways, you two go now. We'll call the ambulance and handle it from here." Frizz waved them away as the two said their gratitude while leaving.

Divine approached, grinning. "Did that blow off some stress?"

"Could you call the police or the ambulance? Tell them something happened here and that they were dealt with by some random helpful samaritan?" Frizz said, rubbing his temples.

Divine pulled out a phone from her inventory and quickly contacted the police.
