As Leoric's henchmen, each more frightening than the last, poured out of the portal, darkness exploded all around us. As they moved forward, shadows snarled and twisted, their red eyes gleaming.
"Everyone, stay tight! I yelled while firmly holding Scott's hand.
As the beasts charged forward, their claws scraping and hissing like a spooky tune of mayhem, the ground trembled beneath them. Despite my racing heart, I tried to remain composed. I muttered, more to myself than to anybody else, "We can do this." "We must."
Scott spoke steadily. "Helen, you have our support. Regardless.
Elden's eyes were already searching the swarm in a protective position. "They are overly numerous! We must have a strategy!"
I flung up my palm as one of the creatures came at me, causing a flash of light to emerge. It fell apart in an instant, but three others replaced it. They're innumerable! I let out a gasp and blocked another with a burst of vitality.
