Ares straightened to his full height. "You're not lying to me, are you?" he took a step back, a shadow of doubt still cast in his eyes.
"I think I've learnt more than enough lessons on the lying front," she chuckled. "But no, I'm not lying to you. I'm alive. Feel me. Touch me and see for yourself." Her features grew intense, as she stared at the only man she had ever truly loved.
Ares' shaky fingers reached out to her face, and he touched her cheeks.
"Soft," he muttered. Exactly like Angels.
He leaned in, and sniffed her body. That sweet scent that formed her essence hit his nose softly.
His breath quickened, as his hands ran through her blonde tresses she left cascading down.
"So good," he whispered.
He touched her brows, her nose, her freckles that made her outwardly, and her dimples always elevating her smile.
"Perfect," he said, bringing his eyes down the lengths of her face again.
She looked up, and magical lights exploded as their gazes locked again.
