"Mum, why do you always act weird around these people?" Lewis asked, as he watched his mother sit quietly in the corner of the room.
She blinked, and looked up to see he was staring at her.
"What do you mean, Lewis?" She shook her head, feigning confusion.
"Don't act like you don't know what I'm talking about, please. We both know you do. I just don't get it. You shudder every time a new piece of information comes to light. Do you know these people?"
"No I don't," she said too quickly for his liking.
"Fine. I won't push it further. I just hope you're not lying to me. Not with how much you hate being lied to." he turned his back on her, and stared through the window.
At that moment, he wished he was with the guys, helping Ares fight his enemies.
He had just met the man. But the deep sense of loyalty he already felt for him, both worried and confused him.
