Memory Domain)
The soul still hadn't answered. Silence lingered.
The memories stood still, waiting. Among them, the Slave Memory stepped forward, his eyes gentle.
He knelt beside the soul and placed a soft hand on its head.
the slave said with a warm, tender voice.
"You're hesitant,"
"You must've taken after the Assassin… He never trusted anyone in his lifetime."
The soul looked up. The Slave Memory smiled—genuinely, comfortingly.
"But you don't have to be afraid. You can trust yourself, can't you?"
"You were one of us once. So… will you believe in your own words?"
He stepped back, joining the others.
All six memories now stared at the soul, waiting for his answer to the Noble's question.
The Noble Memory broke the silence again.
"So, tell us—what do you remember?"
The soul looked at them and replied calmly.
"Nothing."
A wave of surprise swept through the memories.
The Noble stepped closer, raising an eyebrow.
"Do you know what a noble is? A king?"
The soul nodded.
"Do you know what a mechanic is?"
Another nod.
"What about money? And how to earn it?"
The soul nodded once more.
"And do you understand war? Slavery? Society? Civilization?"
The soul nodded again.
The Noble suddenly burst into laughter.
"Fascinating… utterly fascinating."
The soul frowned.
"What's so fascinating?"
The Noble answered with a grin.
"The memory release—that Omega was so proud of—only returned basic knowledge."
the soul repeated.
"Basic knowledge?"
the Noble explained.
"Yes,"
"It's like you've undergone a partial wipe. You retained general understanding—language, social structure, basic instincts. Even traces of our personalities live within you. like the Assassin's caution."
He gestured toward the others.
"But what you've lost… are the events. The stories. The pain and choices that shaped you. The moments that made you one of us. All of it—gone."
The soul's eyes lowered.
"Then… the only thing this curse of endless life gives me is suffering."
The Noble's smile softened.
"Aren't you forgetting something?"
The soul looked up.
"What?"
The Noble swept his hand toward the gathered memories.
"You have us. We are your memories."
The soul said.
"What are you going to do—tell me bedtime stories?"
The Knight Memory stepped forward, his presence firm.
"No. We're going to teach you everything we know—transfer our experiences into you. We'll forge you into the best version of yourself."
"Together, we'll uncover the truth. Who cursed us. Why. And for what purpose."
The Noble added.
"Even if we defeat Alpha—the source of our torment, as Omega claims—what then? Will we return to the cycle of rebirth? Or will we finally find meaning in it?"
The soul closed his eyes, thinking.
They're right. Revenge alone is meaningless. I need answers. I need the truth behind my existence.
When he opened his eyes again, they burned with newfound confidence.
"I'm ready. I'll return. I'll speak with Omega… and find out everything I can."
The Noble nodded.
"Don't forget—you have all your memories. Don't let our friend think he failed."
As the world began to shift and fade, the Knight added one last thing.
"Remember, you are not alone. We're with you. Always."
(Void Prison)
Omega stood waiting.
"So?" he asked.
"How do you feel now that your memories are back?"
The soul opened his eyes, now cold and sharp. Confidence radiated from within.
"I feel whole. The emptiness is gone."
Omega nodded.
"Good. Then it's time for the second part."
He pointed at the statue of Alpha.
"Your tormentor—Alpha."
Omega's tone shifted, becoming serious.
"After O became a Sovereign, he rose through the ranks of existence until he met Alpha again. They became comrades… rivals… brothers. But after O's death, Alpha couldn't accept it. Especially once he realized the death was tied to O's mysterious gift."
Omega continued.
"It seemed, as though the being who granted O his gift… had forsaken him. Alpha was obsessed with finding that being. But no matter how far he reached, he found nothing. And for the first time, he realized… he wasn't at the top. There were forces beyond even him."
Omega said,
"Then, you appeared."
The soul remained silent.
Omega went on.
"To provoke that being, Alpha began to kill and torture you in every life. Using his authority over causality, he manipulated events to ensure your death… again and again."
The soul clenched his fists.
Omega continued.
"That's when I intervened. I sealed your memories—because Alpha used them to find you. Without them, you were safe. And through your new lives, I hoped you would grow… collect experiences… and one day, rise again—just like O did."
The soul thought.
So Alpha doesn't hate me… But he sees me as a tool to reach the one responsible for O's death.
Then… I'll use him the same way. I'll find whoever gave me this curse. I won't be discarded like O.
The soul turned sharply toward Omega.
"Tell me—what's your connection to Alpha and O? Why do you care?"
Omega grinned, his crimson eyes glowing.
"One is my brother. The other, my friend."
The soul's eyes widened.
"Your brother…? You don't mean—"
Omega's grin widened into something darker, more monstrous.
"I am Omega—Sovereign of the End. Brother of Alpha, Sovereign of the Beginning. And friend to O, Sovereign of… well, I don't remember anymore."
The soul frowned.
"And when were you planning to tell me all this?"
Omega raised a finger.
"Isn't there a more important question you should ask?"
The soul asked.
" How did you end up here? "
Omega's expression darkened.
"I was imprisoned… by my brother. After I did what he couldn't."
Omega clenched his hand, shattering O's statue behind him.
"I killed O."
The soul's confused asked.
"Why?, wasn't O your friend"
Omega shrugged, voice calm now.
"I don't remember. But I know I had to. since My brother couldn't bring himself to do it."
The soul narrowed his eyes.
"You keep calling him O…and You don't even remember his Sovereign title. You don't even remember why you killed him?"
Omega nodded.
"That's right. After I killed him… everything about him was erased. As if he never existed. Only my brother and I were strong enough to resist it, remember only pieces."
"That must be the work of the being my brother is searching for,"
the soul looked at Omega and said.
"So what's your goal? After helping me… do you expect me to help you escape your prison?"
Omega let out a low, bitter chuckle.
"Escape? I'm far too broken for that. No, what I want is something far more valuable… the truth."
the soul asked.
"What truth?"
Omega's eyes drifted toward the ancient crown resting in the shadows. A flicker of emotion passed over his face—curiosity, anger.
"After my brother imprisoned me for killing O… this crown appeared in front of me"
"The very crown that once belonged to O himself. A crown that should've been destroyed upon his death. And yet, there it was… dormant, waiting."
He turned back to the soul, his gaze sharp.
"Not long after, I sensed my brother's power again. I followed the trail, and it led me to you. And now… here you are, standing before me."
His expression darkened, the shadows around him deepening.
"It feels like something—no, someone—is guiding me. Forcing me down this path. And I think my brother felt it too... that sensation of being used. But the question is: used for what?"
Omega's said, his voice heavy with obsession.
"That's the truth I want to uncover. What kind of being has the power to grant someone endless lives… only to erase them completely later? What force gave that same gift to another? What entity sent me O's crown, knowing I would find it? Knowing I'd find you… and help you. Help you escape my brother's wrath. Help you understand what you are."
The soul stared at him in silence, still trying to grasp the scale of what he was hearing.
the soul finally said.
"I still don't understand, What do you hope to gain from all of this?"
Omega's lips curled into a sinister smile.
"I want to witness the end,"
"The end of this story. The final goal of the being who used me like a pawn. I want to see the truth—the grand plan behind all of this madness."
He stepped closer, eyes burning with purpose.
"And you… you're the key. Everything—every thread—connects to you. And through you, I'll uncover it all."
