Vandred, Caelan, and Raiven walked side by side toward the gates of Luxoria Castle.
Eryndor, the third son, wasn't with them—he had other things to handle.
At the grand gate, Liline appeared, her hair neat, eyes bright.
She bowed slightly.
"Lord Vandred, Young Lords Caelan and Raiven," she said.
"Welcome to Luxoria Castle."
Vandred nodded. "Take us to Lord L," he said.
Liline smiled.
"Of course, follow me," she said, leading them through the gates.
They passed massive statues, halls lined with gold and silver.
Raiven's eyes scanned everything, quiet but sharp.
Caelan walked with his arms crossed, calm but focused.
At the inner chamber, Lord L waited, seated on his high-backed chair.
Lord L's lips curved slightly.
"So, Lord Vandred," he said. "You've come."
Vandred smirked. "You must already know why I'm here," he said.
Lord L's smile widened.
"The fusion beast," he said, his voice smooth.
"You want to create one."
Vandred crossed his arms.
