Chapter 403 - Chapter 403 – Actually, This Is the Dowry of Two Daughters

The next day.

When Hyuga Hiashi suddenly showed up at his door, Mirai was a bit surprised.

"Clan Head Hiashi, what brings you here?"

Hiashi smiled warmly. "Lord Mirai, you helped Hinata awaken the Tenseigan, proving the true power of the Byakugan. I came here specifically to thank you."

Mirai waved it off. "No need to be so formal. Hinata is my student—it was nothing more than a small favor."

Hiashi nodded. "Of course, of course. For someone like Lord Mirai, this is surely just a trivial matter."

"Still, I brought a small token of appreciation. I hope you'll accept it."

Mirai took the document Hiashi handed him, but as he read it, his expression shifted into one of confusion.

It was the ownership deed to ten copper mines.

"Clan Head Hiashi... even if this is a thank-you gift, isn't this a bit much?"

"Ah, well..." Hiashi scratched his head awkwardly. "Actually, it's not just a thank-you gift..."

Seeing how hesitant Hiashi looked, Mirai cut straight to the point.

"Hiashi, just say what you want to say."

Hiashi cleared his throat and said seriously, "Lord Mirai, I actually came today to propose a marriage alliance for my daughter."

Mirai raised an eyebrow. "A marriage proposal?"

"That's right." Hiashi chuckled. "The Hyuga clan has followed you ever since the reign of Hiruzen Sarutobi, and we've always been grateful for your guidance. If we don't become family, it just doesn't feel right."

"While Lord Mirai already holds great wealth, consider these ten copper mines as a modest dowry from our side."

At last, Mirai understood Hiashi's intentions.

So that's the plan—using his daughter to secure the Hyuga clan's position.

Frankly, Mirai had no issue with that at all.

After all...

Hinata's figure had already matured into something that could make any man's blood stir at a glance.

Thinking that, Mirai smiled. "Clan Head Hiashi, then I accept."

"Marrying off one daughter and throwing in ten copper mines as dowry—you don't see generous in-laws like you every day."

Just as Mirai finished speaking, Hiashi scratched his head again, looking a little embarrassed.

"Uh... Lord Mirai, there might be a bit of a misunderstanding."

"Misunderstanding?" Mirai raised his eyebrow again. "What do you mean?"

Hiashi explained, "The ten copper mines are actually the dowry for two daughters..."

"Two daughters?!"

"That's right. Ever since you brought Hanabi back from the moon, she's been insisting that she wants to marry you together with her sister..." Hiashi looked helpless. "In the end, I had no choice but to agree..."

Before Hiashi could say more, Mirai had already gotten up and poured him a cup of tea.

"Clan Head Hiashi, don't worry. I'll take good care of both Hinata and Hanabi."

"As for matters related to the Hyuga clan—if anything comes up that you can't handle, just come find me."

"Oh, and regarding the Tenseigan project, I'll get that prioritized right away. I'll start by setting up enhancement plans for you and Neji."

Hearing that, Hiashi knew for certain that this "investment" of his was absolutely worth it.

Originally, he had only planned to marry Hinata to Mirai. But considering how many women were already around Mirai, and though Hinata was indeed beautiful, she wasn't the most eye-catching.

To truly capture Mirai's attention, he needed something unique.

And so, his thoughts had turned to Hanabi.

Beautiful women were common, but a pair of sisters? Now that was rare.

And judging by Mirai's reaction, his judgment had been spot-on.

...

That afternoon, Mirai brought Hinata with him to Orochimaru's research facility.

With such a generous future father-in-law, it wouldn't do to be stingy in return.

He immediately moved the Tenseigan genetic sequencing project to top priority. Then, he brought Hinata back to his estate.

"Hinata, from today onward, this will be your home. The courtyard next door is where Sakura lives."

Blushing, Hinata nodded. "I understand, Sensei."

"Sensei..."

"Hmm?"

Hinata hesitated before asking, "Why didn't you let Hanabi move in too? When I was bringing my things over, she looked like she was about to cry."

"She asked me to find out... do you not like her?"

Mirai chuckled. "Of course not. Hanabi is such an adorable girl—who wouldn't like her?"

Relieved by his answer, Hinata let out a quiet sigh.

As long as he didn't dislike Hanabi, everything would be okay.

Otherwise, she truly wouldn't know how to face her little sister.

But Mirai's answer had also sparked a new curiosity in her. She couldn't help but ask,

"Sensei, if you don't dislike her, then why won't you let her move in with me?"

Mirai gently ruffled her hair and replied softly, "Silly girl."

"Hanabi is still too young. If she moves in now... certain things would get too complicated."

Upon hearing that, Hinata's body temperature shot up. Her skin turned bright red like a boiled shrimp, and steam even began rising from her head...

Clutching her forehead and swaying slightly, Hinata mumbled,

"Sensei, I... I think I'm feeling a little dizzy..."

Without hesitation, Mirai scooped her up in a bridal carry.

"Hinata, don't worry. Sensei will check you over right now."

...

One month later.

The Tenseigan genetic decoding project was nearly complete. It wouldn't be long before the entire ninja world had access to the Tenseigan.

Meanwhile, Mirai had also agreed to let Hanabi move into the estate.

He had no choice. That little chatterbox showed up every day, pestering him nonstop—he was going crazy.

Strolling alone through the streets of Konoha, Uchiha Mirai felt an indescribable sense of peace.

Lately, he had fewer and fewer matters that required his personal attention.

His daily life now boiled down to eating, drinking, family bonding, and the occasional training session with Otsutsuki Kaguya.

Not only was his strength steadily increasing, he didn't even need to worry about anything else anymore.

It was like a god-tier lifestyle—his dreams had come true.

"Mirai!"

Hearing someone call his name, Mirai looked up to see Hashirama Senju waving at him from the entrance of a restaurant.

Mirai walked over, curious. "First Hokage, what are you up to?"

Hashirama laughed heartily. "Stop calling me First Hokage. I haven't used that title in forever."

"This place? It's a restaurant Madara and I opened together. Come on in—give it a try!"
