Jayden lay sprawled across his bed, arms behind his head, eyes watching the golden sun dip below the horizon. The last streaks of amber light painted the walls in lazy, molten lines. Music played low from his speaker... some chill lo-fi beat that had long since blurred into the background.
He sighed.
"I feel like I'm forgetting something," he muttered, squinting at the ceiling like it held the answer.
Then he sat up slowly, brows furrowing. "I think I was supposed to do something today… like meet up with someone?"
[Nope, you don't. Just keep relaxing]. Luna's voice buzzed through his head, smooth and nonchalant.
Jayden leaned back again, exhaling. "Alright…"
But then Luna's voice returned, sweet, and way too smug.
[I'm sure she won't mind that you missed the date she looked so excited to have]
The teasing lilt hit like thunder.
Jayden's eyes snapped open. His heart skipped a beat.
"She? Date? Wait... oh crap, i almost forgot. I have a date with Pene... Cassie's mom."
