Chapter 11 - System of Power: Mana

What is Mana?

Mana is seen as a spiritual energy or life force present in all beings and permeating the Myriad Web of Worlds.

Mana flows throughout every world in the Myriad Web via the Dimensional Connections. These mysterious, intangible strings of energy that are intricately attached to the World Cores, forming the Myriad Web of Worlds.

(Author's Note: The Myriad Web of Worlds consists of worlds interconnected like a spiderweb through the Dimensional Connections.)

Though Mana flows through the Dimensional Connections, they are not its source. The true source of Mana remains unknown.

However, speculation from ancient scholars suggests that Mana is actually the blood of an extremely powerful entity. In this theory, the Dimensional Connections, through which Mana flows, function like blood vessels transporting blood (Mana) to every organ or part of the body (Worlds)."

How was the use of Mana discovered?

In olden days, Mana couldn't be used by living beings as the knowledge of Mana and how to use it didn't exist yet.

However, one day, from a world known as 'Arcana,' a man named Brigham Moore gained insight into the properties of Mana and subsequently devised treatises outlining techniques for its use, control, and absorption, thereby allowing individuals to achieve strength far exceeding their former capabilities.

The event known as the 'Genesis of Transcension' sparked a golden age of development in Arcana.

Subsequently, Arcana discovered the existence of the Dimensional Connection, and after thousands of years of development, the knowledge of Mana permeated throughout every world connected through it.

How did Brigham Moore discover Mana?

How Brigham Moore discovered and learned to use Mana remains a mystery. Scholars throughout the ages have researched, hypothesized, and theorized about his methods, even though at the time there were no signs indicating Mana's existence.
