"How is this even possible? I just beat you! Where's all this terrifying power coming from?" the dragon stammered, fear and disbelief in its voice.
"Simple," Hazel replied, his voice strong and commanding. "I was just playing with you."
"Playing?" the dragon echoed, confused.
"Yeah, I thought you'd be a tougher opponent since you're a dragon. But you were pretty weak. I didn't want the fight to end too quickly, so I added some drama." Hazel's words made the dragon shiver, seeing him as a true monster.
"You're not human," the dragon roared. "You're a monster!"
"Who said anything about being human? Like I told you before, I am death," Hazel said, then let out a chilling laugh.
"But if you're so strong, why did you leave me alone when you saw me sleeping?" the dragon asked, curious despite its fear.
"Well, who likes being woken up from a good nap?" Hazel replied, a hint of something soft in his eyes.
Maybe he's not so bad after all, the dragon thought.
"Alright, time for you to die," Hazel declared, his gaze piercing the dragon's very soul.
"Wait, wait! I can be useful to you!" the dragon pleaded.
"Oh? How so?" Hazel questioned.
"Um, I can..." The dragon's mind went blank.
"Are you trying to trick me?" Hazel's eyes narrowed.
"No, no!" the dragon cried out, terrified.
"So you really are useless?" Hazel said.
"You have two choices," Hazel continued, appearing like a towering, fear-inducing creature. "Die right here, or become my servant."
"I'll never serve a mere human! I'd rather die!" the dragon bellowed.
"Fine then," Hazel said, stepping closer. He summoned his scythe, his face emotionless, and prepared to cut the dragon in half. But at the last second, the dragon screamed, "Please, accept me as your servant!"
"Good. I knew you'd come around," Hazel said. "Even if you didn't, I'd just force your soul to serve me after you died anyway."
"Alright then, I call forth your soul. Serve me and be bound to me. From this moment on, you serve me, the Sovereign of Death!" Hazel declared. With those words, the dragon's soul was sealed with Hazel's, making Hazel its master.
[You have tamed a dragon!]
[Achievement unlocked: Dragon Tamer!]
The dragon changed, reborn into a new form—a humanlike shape. Its face was now more human than dragon, with blue scales partially covering most of its body. It had blue wings that matched its scales and two horns jutting from the sides of its head.
"Wow, who knew you could look so handsome as a human?" Hazel teased the dragon.
"So, what do you call yourself?" Hazel asked.
The dragon knelt and bowed. "I am called Emblem," it said submissively.
"Wait, Emblem? Doesn't that mean 'mimic'?" Hazel asked, curious.
"Yes, my lord," Emblem replied.
"Why are you called that?" Hazel inquired.
"It's because I was born a dragon who can copy the abilities of any other dragon," Emblem explained. "But when I was born, I was seen as a mistake and sealed away. Then a god came to save me and said he had a job for me."
Such a unique dragon, Hazel thought to himself. If he hadn't been sealed away, he might have become the king of dragons. Maybe I can help him achieve that.
I literally have a dragon capable of becoming the dragon king as my servant! Hazel thought, letting out a menacing laugh.
"Anyway, what's behind that golden door?" Hazel asked.
"I don't know," the dragon replied.
"But you protect it from the world," Hazel pointed out.
"Yes, but I don't know what's inside. I was only told to guard it," Emblem explained.
"Okay then, let's find out," Hazel said, heading towards the door with Emblem.
When they reached the door, Hazel simply pushed it open. Inside, there was nothing but a small pillar that seemed to hold something.
As Hazel got closer, he saw a golden eye floating above the pillar, as if placed there. This appeared to be what Emblem was tasked with protecting.
"I'm guessing you don't know what the eye does, do you?" Hazel asked Emblem.
"No, I don't, sorry," Emblem replied.
"Well, that was expected," Hazel said, staring at the eye from a distance.
"Let's find out then," Hazel declared, approaching the eye.
As Hazel got closer to the eye, nothing happened, not even a reaction from his system. So Hazel went ahead and touched it. The moment he held it in his hand, the system activated.
[You have the Eye of the Forbidden in your hands! The eye is now merging with your soul!]
[The Forbidden Eye grants the ability to see 'end spoilers,' like the worst possible outcomes!]
After this message, Hazel was lifted into the air as the eye merged with his soul.
Hazel felt intense pain during this process, groaning aloud.
