Just as Rachel was lost in her thoughts, a sudden doorbell rang.
Rachel snapped back to reality and got up to open the door.
Peering through the peephole, she was initially taken aback when she saw who was standing outside, then she opened the door.
"Leo?"
After her divorce from Kingsly, her interactions with the Thompson family decreased.
Of course, it wasn't because she didn't want to be friends with Leo anymore, but because Leo was Kingsly's best friend, and staying close to him felt somewhat awkward. However, Leo had called several times over the past few months to check on her.
Leo walked into the room and set down the items he was carrying. "These are gifts for your unborn baby."
Leo brought toys and clothes for a little girl, all in soft, pastel colors that looked very cute.
Rachel didn't want to be overly formal with Leo and sincerely said, "Thank you."
