Chapter 29 - Brandon

I tightly gripped my seat impatiently because we were no where near London.

"Brandon, you need to see this."

He handed a tablet over to me and I pressed play.

The video revealed Clarissa tied to a chair, the side of her head bleeding and her mouth covered with tape.

She tried to scream but then someone whacked her across the face.

I threw the tablet across the plane.

"Brandon, calm down." Alan said.

I furiously got out of the seat strolled back and forth the plane.

"I am going to kill him."

"He left a message."

And it read:

"If you want to see her alive, leave us alone"

I knew he was bad news.

"Once we land, we're heading towards the Alchezer construction site." I said.

Alan nodded.

Ryan was intelligent but he can't outsmart me. Where he was holding Clarissa captive was a very popular place where all sorts of illegal stuff were done.

ALCHEZER CONSTRUCTION SITE.

Bethany almost lost her life around there once after a failed negotiation with a local mafia.

 *********

Ryan Woods was going to regret what ever he was doing. Once we landed in London, I opted to go meet Ryan alone but I had ordered Alan and everyone else to stay around.

I stepped on the gas.

I slowed down once I got to the site.

This place was abandoned years ago and no one even tried to cone here unless authorized.

Getting out of the car, I rolled the sleeves of my shirt up and opened up a few buttons of my shirt.

I knew this place like the back of my hand because Alan's dad used to bring Alan and I here on normal occasions.

Memories came flooding back.

All the street races Alan and I engaged in and we were solid champions. The number of times we outsmarted people for benefits and all.

I got a couple eyes from the ladies around and I just had to ignore them.

I decided to go see my man, Casper.

Entering the bar, I scrunched up my nose. There were all sorts of people around and almost everyone was drunk. I walked past everyone, my face hidden.

Opening the door, I entered.

I looked around to see piles of money in different denominations everywhere.

"My nephew finally came to see me."

Casper Flay.

My mother's younger but ruthless brother.

He owned about three exporting lines to different parts of the world, whether legal or illegal. He owned a filthy business empire through which he earned millions.

"Casper, I need help."

He orders everyone around to leave.

Casper picked up a packet of cigarettes and pulled out a stick.

"Not now, please." I said.

I hated the smell of narcotics.

Casper chuckled.

"What's going on?"

"Ryan Woods. He's crossed the line. He's abducted my wife."

Casper laughed.

He didn't believe me.

"That idiot has abducted your wife? Were you asleep or something?"

"This isn't funny uncle."

"Serves you right for not inviting me to your wedding."

I glared at him.

If I had power, I wouldn't have even bothered myself to come see my uncle but he heads the whole Alchezer society so I feel he knows where Ryan was hiding with my wife.

I received a notification.

Another video from an unknown number.

I pressed play.

It was Clarissa again still tied to the chair with Ryan kissing her neck up and down holding her shoulders like the dog he was and Clarissa screaming.

I banged the table, hard.

"Let me have a look at that."

I passed the phone to him.

"He's playing the wrong game here."

Casper laughed again.

 ********

I stood right in front of Ryan's hideout ready to barge in. Casper had caused a human stampede leading to everyone deserting the place.

I kicked the door open with my foot and there stood Ryan with a smug look on his face.

"Took you long enough."

"Where the hell is my wife?"

"That's for me to know and for you to find out."

Before long, Casper entered the room.

I looked around but there was no trace of Clarissa. Ryan just stood there laughing.

"The best thing you can do now is to just leave my love with me and leave."

His love?

"You must be dreaming."

Just then, a screen in the room lit up.

It was another video of Clarissa surrounded by different guys torturing her in all the different ways possible.

I fired a warning shot.

"Let go of my wife!" I shouted.

"All bark and no bite."

Oh really?

I didn't think twice and shot him in the knee.

I saw Casper rush to him and punching him in the face multiple times.

"Where is she? Where is my nephew's wife!"

Casper gave me a signal to move.

I walked past him a and opened the door.

To my expectation, it was full of bodyguards.

They acted as though they were powered with batteries because they all decided to strike once.

Grown idiots.

Before I could even make a shot, they were going down one by one and a grenade blew up, I quickly took cover.

When the impact subsided, I came face up with Alan.

"Thanks bro." I said.

Before he could answer, we heard a faint bang on one door.

"Should we check it out?"

I quickly rushed to the door, trying to pish it open but it wouldn't budge.

I stopped and stared at the notice on the door.

"WARNING: STORE ROOM, 0°C"

"Stop!"

I turned to see Ryan.

He held Alan at gun point.

"If you want your brother alive, leave!"

Was he trying to blackmail me?

Alan tried to release himself but Ryan wouldn't budge.

"You better let go."

I noticed he was weak in the knee and devised a plan quickly. I picked out a Neuron paralysing dart and shot it into his knee.

"Are you that weak? The great Brandon happens to be this much of a chicken."

I smirked.

In no time, the dart took effect and Ryan fell to the ground. Alan freed himself and dragged Ryan's unconscious body close to the door.

"I have a feeling she'd be in there and that lock doesn't open of it's not his retina being scanned."

I nodded and pulled Ryan up and opened up his eye.

Soon enough, the door unlocked and I dropped Ryan.

There lay Clarissa on the floor.

The room was fuc*king cold.

It was freezing.

"Sh*t." Alan said.

I quickly rushed to her side.
