More cries rang in the air.
"The stalker's getting mad! Help me!"
Before Vincent could react, Lariette's cry for help successfully got two men and one guard rushing. Their footsteps echoed loudly on the ground and one of them shouted at him.
Lariette took the chance to step backward. The men and the guard's presence relieved her. She initially thought only the guard would come to her rescue.
Her eyes drifted to the two men, thinking they might be residents of the apartment. She also noticed the receptionists inside the lobby were alerted by the incident.
"Scoundrel! You dare to bully a woman?!"
One man yanked Vincent by the collar, strong enough to pull him up from the ground. His friend frowned, taking a defensive stance by shielding the crying Lariette.
The guard tried to stop the first man from doing anything reckless, his voice stern, "Mister, don't fight here. We'll take care of this man. Miss, are you alright? Did he hurt you?"
