The bride was already standing next to him, yet he hadn't spared Angelica a single glance. Anyone else would probably be crying by now.
Joe's face darkened. Grandpa Reid also sensed something was wrong and warned, "Logan, this is your engagement party. Whatever the issue is, deal with it after the ceremony."
Angelica's eyes brimmed with tears. "Logan, what's wrong with you…?"
"Nothing." Logan finally moved. His voice was calm. "There's just one thing I'm curious about. I want to ask you again."
Angelica felt a sinking dread. "Can't it wait, Logan? All the guests are watching…"
"Angelica," Logan interrupted coolly, "are you sure Selina said in her will that she wanted me to marry you?"
The room fell silent. Why was Logan asking that? Wasn't it obvious? The will had already been made public—how could it be fake?
