Chapter 21 - Chapter 21: When in Rome, Where’s a Roman?

When in Rome, Where's a Roman?

"Son of a bitch!" A red haired, bowler hat wearing man roared, "He can't keep getting away with this!"

'Ever try being a better role model so child services pick you up?' The conjured sign of Neo said before she rounded a corner of the old warehouse.

"I'll have you know I'm a great role model, Neo!" The man insisted.

'Where were you at Trivia's parent-teacher's conference then? Hei Xiong was there, and he's a bigger criminal than you, Roman.' Neo shot back with another sign.

"I was busy with some paperwork and lost track of time. Being a crime boss comes with a surprising amount of bureaucratic work." Roman explained.

'Ah, a paper trail for our "Employer," I see. I never knew you to be so on the nose.' Neo answered, showing a sarcastic scowl on her face.

"It'll be the perfect way out in case things go south. That way, we can sell her out for a pardon for each of us." Roman replied with a shrug.

'So where is the help? Did you decide to go full bigot and kick them into a set of kennels?' Neo asked with a raised eyebrow, noticing how empty the place was.

"They should be arriving right about…" Roman started to say as the doors to the warehouse they were in opened.

A whole gaggle of White Fang in their usual cheap gray masks, black hoods and used martial arts gear. Towering above the scrawny grunts stood a towering figure with a better fitting and high collared set of the gear, armored gauntlets and boots, a full white and red marked mask, and a giant chainsaw slung over his shoulder. However, he paled in comparison to the central figure of this group.

The central figure of the group of White Fang members was a massive, towering wall of muscle of a man. Standing at over seven and a half feet tall with a sleeveless, open-buttoned shirt with no undershirt underneath, showing off his muscular arms as thick as Neo was wide. Visible on his torso underneath his open shirt were multiple battle scars, indicating his experience in combat. He had a larger version of the same pants as the chainsaw wielding member, as well as the same armored gauntlets scaled up to his massive size with a pair of massive gorilla feet at the ends of his massive, tree trunk-like legs. Adorned on his face was a white and red marked mask in the shape of a Beringel's face. For his weapons, he had a Chang Jian sword at his hip with a large spear on his back.

"I take it we haven't missed anything, Torchwick?" The building of a man asked in a booming, deep voice.

'Lighten up, tons of fun, it's casual Thursday, and all of you look like you got off a cheap martial arts set. Loosen up a little.' Neo said with a new sign, unphased by the behemoth and his gang of punk's clomping their way in.

You could almost feel the look of anger behind said behemoth's mask. "First of all, my name is not 'Tons of Fun.' It's Kong. Shao Kong." The wall of a man, now identified as Kong, replied to the tiny, sassy creature.

'It's called a nickname, Beanstalk. Look, I know public schooling isn't the best but at least read a dictionary.' Neo shot back.

"People listen; we are all here to rob the same people. We should really be focusing on the robbing… and pillaging… and thieving. Not the murdering of allies." Roman said, walking between the two to de-escalate the growing situation.

Kong nodded in response. "Fair enough, Torchwick. All of you get to work! We're burning daylight here!" He boomed out, barking orders to his subordinates at the volume of a bullhorn.

"No nonsense on the job? Already I like you better than the chump your boss last sent me." Roman said, walking towards his desk.

"And what happened to him?" Kong asked, a raised eyebrow just barely visible above his mask.

"I shot him. Don't insult the hat." Roman said, twirling his cane to give him the hint.

Kong clenched his gauntlet covered fists in anger at the mention of that. Casting a glare at Roman's retreating back, he turned away as he began supervising his men. However, as they all began their preparations for the next night's proceedings, everyone failed to notice a tiny detail. The dates on the map gifted by Hei Xiong were a week out of date.

Next morning: Beacon

Trivia yawned as she headed towards the dining hall. Her eyes had begun to form purple rings, and she could barely keep them open. Despite a shot of espresso, she kept for emergencies. This aura of unusual tiredness for the normally chipper little soul allowed her to avoid the rolling storm of chaos that was Ruby, who was rushing her friend group to the dining hall. The red rocket even almost ran over the tiny sprout of a girl while carrying Azura. The blue samurai, however, was not as pleased as one might expect.

"Ruby, I can walk on my own." Azura tiredly told the red jet, slightly annoyed at being carried like luggage.

"Can you be supportive of a reversal of gender roles for once? It's not my fault all of you people are so slow today!" Ruby barked back.

"Most of us don't have your absurd amount of energy." Azura replied, his annoyance rising.

"Corrections will continue 'til morale improves!" Ruby yelled as she ran off into the distance with her blue crush.

"Yang. How did you grow up with your sister?" Pyrrha politely asked as she sipped on a school boxed chocolate milk.

"Believe me, it wasn't easy. Growing up with that energizer hare turns you into a morning person pretty quick." Yang explained, sipping on a cup of coffee.

"I question the wisdom of the hare continually manhandling the tiger then." Pyrrha answered, taking another sip of milk.

"Relax. He won't bite. Probably." Yang reassured Pyrrha while sipping more on her coffee.

Before she could drink more of her coffee, she was brought to a halt by the presence of a tired, shuffle walking Trivia. While Trivia was not the most eager of a morning person, both Yang and Pyrrha knew by now that she was not this bad. Reaching out and gently putting a hand on her shoulder, Yang was shocked when Trivia did not even really respond. All she did was continue to try and shuffle walk against Yang's passive strength, resulting in her shuffling in place.

"Um… Trivia? You okay?" Yang asked, a bit concerned.

This caused a jolt and a jump from Trivia, practically startled out of her skin. However, when she turned and saw her two friends, she calmed down and yawned.

'Oh… hi girls… How's the weather?' Trivia signed, which further tipped them off that something was wrong.

"Fine. Are you all right? You seem exhausted." Pyrrha replied, even more concerned now.

'I don't even know why. I went to bed early for once. Well, early for me. The wi-fi was acting up so bad I could barely play any games.' Trivia grumbled and scowled through her sign language.

"That's weird. We should get some caffeine from you. See if that helps." Yang told her friend, concern growing.

'Probably not the best idea. I already had a shot of caramel espresso, and my teeth are jiggling around like mad.' Trivia explained.

"... That is… extra concerning." Pyrrha replied, her worry blatantly showing on her face.

"Well, Trivia. I have a great way to get you to the dining hall quickly so you can rest that tired little frame of yours." Yang explained.

'What?' Trivia asked in sign, eyes widening as if Yang was her savior descending from the heavens.

"Hey, Ruby! Trivia's tired this morning!" Yang called out.

'Normally I'd be okay with this, but that's just a low blow.' Trivia signed back; eyes squinted a bit.

"You'll thank me later." Yang said with a smirk.

Before Trivia could respond, she felt a gust of wind rush past the three of them, nearly spilling Yang and Pyrrha's drinks. Trivia then yelped as she found herself being carried like luggage, Ruby's silver eyes glinting.

"I've got you, Trivia! TO THE DINING HALL!" Ruby called out as you would swear a cavalry bugle could be heard, the red reaper rushing to the dining hall with her friend in hand practically with a sonic boom.

'I only partially consent to this!!' Trivia signed out frantically.

Later at Trivia's Team's Room

After watching her friend have a frankly miserable day, Ruby decided before heading off to bed to go check up on Trivia. Arriving at her room, room fifty-five, she gave it a noticeable knock. To her surprise, it was the least social occupant that answered. Mercury.

"Oh. Hey, Little Red. What's up?" Mercury asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Hi Mercury. I was just here to check up on Trivia." Ruby answered.

"I dunno where she is. Definitely not for some window to head towards downtown." Mercury replied, sarcasm dripping from his tone.

"Well, if you see her, tell her I was looking for her, okay?" Ruby said, the sarcasm was going over her head.

Mercury shrugged in response. "Will do, kid." He replied in a deadpan tone.

As Ruby walked away, her heightened sense of smell picked up a trail of perfume. A sweet, yet faint candy-like one Trivia wore. Heading over, she saw the pink, brown and white clad streak of Trivia moving at top speed, in a fashion taught to cover one's trail. Ruby wracked her brain for a logical explanation for this, but the fact that the entire day she saw the girl shuffle about the school like a turtle on speed pills made it so she could not ignore it.

"Well, my night just got more interesting." Ruby muttered as she opened the window and jumped to the ground.

Once she made it to the ground, she sniffed the cool, damp night air again. While the environment tried to throw her off the trail, her lupine senses kept on faint scent. Enhancing her legs to help conserve aura, Ruby followed the trail into a less populated part of the city, and into the old industrial park. While few industries remained in this part of town, Ruby remembered from one of her classes a lot of important shipping went through here due to its wide and reinforced streets. Soon however she picked on a commotion, and unusually of people and not industry. As she looked around the corner, she saw a large group of people in black and white uniforms, with Roman Torchwick at the helm.

'If old bowler hat is here, then something is up. And it's not good.' Ruby thought.

"Alright, everyone got the memo?" Roman asked annoyed.

"Apparently you didn't after the dust shop!" An annoyingly familiar voice rang out.

"Oh, son of a bitch." Roman groaned, pinching the bridge of his nose.

Ruby landed in a hero pose in front of the group before saying, "For someone who likes working alone, you sure did bring in a lot of help."

"I prefer the term 'underlings'. And you do know that those hero landing poses are rough on the knees, don't you Red?" Roman replied with a smirk.

"Not everyone has outdated knees like you, grandpa. Now all of you, stand down from your villainy!" Ruby warned, brandishing her weapon.

"... Is… Is she serious? She can't be serious…" One of the White Fang grunts said in response to the red reaper's words.

"Unfortunately, yes. Kong, be a good insurance policy, take six of your men, and handle the situation for me. Rest of you, follow me to the staging ground." Roman said as he turned away, aiming his cane at the top of a fire escape.

"With pleasure, Roman." The huge man with gorilla hands and feet, known as Kong, replied in his booming voice before looking at six of his men and tilting his head in Ruby's direction to signal for them to surround her.

"Sending goons at me? You remember what happened last time, don't you?" Ruby asked.

"Oh, I do, Red. And I made the proper arrangements." Roman said as he rocketed up to the top of the building with his grappling hook as the rest of the White Fang made it up the fire escape.

As Roman landed and dusted himself off, he looked up to see Neo waiting for him. Oddly though, unlike every other mission they have been on, she was distracted. Slightly looking in Ruby's direction.

"Focus, Neo. The convoy will be coming round that bend any moment." Roman said sternly.

Neo shot her head back towards the road. Yet something fell off. She looked again back in the direction of Ruby as the goons closed in. She felt… concerned. No. Trivia would be concerned about her, not her. She had to keep Trivia protected, even from Ruby if necessary. She was snapped to attention as she heard the roar of an accelerating hard dust truck engine. There was no going back now.

Down below Ruby scanned her eyes across the group of seven before her. Naturally, they fixated on this Kong figure. Ruby knew of the White Fang, mostly from Blake. That knowledge led to confusion. Why were they working with Roman? He was a human, a racist one at that. Being subservient to a human was against the idea of equality such a group stood for.

"So, rent so bad you need to work for Roman of all people?" Ruby asked the giant Faunus before her.

"We have our reasons, girl. Reasons that you don't need to know, considering the fact that you'll be dead soon." Kong replied drolly.

"I have a habit of disappointing people's expectations on that front." Ruby said as she rushed in, Crescent Rose gleaming in the moonlight.

"Kill her!" Kong roared out, pointing at her to signal for his men to charge.

The six Faunus surrounding Ruby charged in at her, swords, and guns in hand. The ones with blades swung at Ruby while the ones with guns fired on her from the openings they saw. Using her Semblance, Ruby swiftly dodged the hail of gunfire as she used her scythe to slice bullets in half. Rushing in at high speed, she sliced a gunman's rifle barrel off with her blade before planting the blade of Crescent Rose in the ground.

Swinging while using the pole of the scythe for leverage, she swung her body along it as she kicked the White Fang grunt hard enough to send him flying into the wall. Swinging back around, she used her momentum to pull Crescent Rose out of the ground as the other two gunmen fired on her while the swordsmen rushed in at her, cutting the bullets in half while blocking the swings from the blades. Using the pole of her scythe after deflecting a slash from a grunt, she swung the pole end of the scythe in her hand to slam the end into the side of a grunt hard enough to send him crumpling to the ground while clutching his side in pain.

As the two gunmen fired more, Ruby swung Crescent Rose's blade to cut and deflect the bullets. One of the deflected Dust rounds shot back into the barrel of a gunmen's rifle, colliding with the next bullet that was being fired and causing the gun to explode in his hand. Stunned by a combination of pain from the gun exploding in his hands and the force of the blast, the gunman was unprepared for Ruby to come sailing in through the smoke at sound barrier breaking speeds. Ruby swiftly kicked him hard in the stomach hard enough to send him flying into the wall, knocking him out while the wind force of her rush blew his compatriots back.

With one gunman and two swordsmen left, Ruby rushed in at high speed towards the last gunner while the two swordsmen rushed at her. Deflecting a slash from one of the swordsmen as she passed, she used the momentum of her swing to slam the heavy head of her scythe into the side of the other swordsman, blade pointed away from him. The impact had more than enough force to send him crashing through a support beam of the staging area. This brought part of the building crumbling down around them as the other swordsman quickly threw his compatriot clear of the rubble before leaping away himself.

Seeing two opponents left, Ruby rushed in at the gunman while using her Semblance to dodge his gunfire before appearing behind him as if she teleported while stopping her momentum with Crescent Rose's blade. Ruby then swung with the force of her momentum along Crescent Rose's pole handle as the air pressure of her high-speed rush caught up with the other swordsman. Using the momentum to her advantage, she swung with a kick to slam into the gunman as the gale force winds of her rush increased the power behind her kick, sending the grunt flying into the wall with enough force to crater it as the swordsman was pulled towards her. In the same motion, Ruby swung herself at the incoming swordsman and kicked him in the gut, stopping him dead as he went crumpling to the ground before her unconscious.

Hearing a slow clap, Ruby turned to look at the source to see that it was coming from Kong. "Congratulations on defeating a bunch of pansies. You act like you've actually done something." The gorilla Faunus mockingly praised her as he continued clapping.

"With an attitude like that, your boss of the year material." Ruby sarcastically answered.

"This simply means I need to increase their training. Now then… are you ready to face an actual challenge, little girl?" Kong asked, drawing his Chang Jian from its sheath, and holding it at the ready.

"I broke a Zodiac prince's ribs. I'm not scared of you, big guy." Ruby answered, getting her scythe to a ready position.

Kong's Aura became visible and flared as his muscles tensed and swelled a bit, the veins beginning to pop out. "You should be brat." Kong simply replied before rushing at Ruby with surprising speed.

Kong appeared in front of her at speeds Ruby was not prepared for. On pure instinct, Ruby used her Semblance to increase her reflexes instead of her running speed as she brought Crescent Rose's pole handle up to block a downward swing of the gorilla Faunus' eastern long sword. However, the weight and force of the swing shocked Ruby as she felt her knees nearly buckle while the force of the connecting blow traveled down her body with enough power to crack the ground beneath her feet. Managing to barely stand standing, Ruby was unprepared for the kick to her stomach that sent her crashing into a support beam, nearly snapping it in two on impact.

Gasping out in pain, Ruby barely ducked under the behemoth's slash as it split the damaged support beam in half. This forced the two combatants to jump away as another part of the building came down between them. Before Ruby could catch her breath, Kong Came leaping over the rubble right at her with a one-handed downward swing that she had to block. The force of his blade impacting the ground left a couple of feet long crack as the ground was split by the force of his swing.

'That looks like Nora jackhammered someone into the ground full force… If I'm not careful, this guy's gonna make a monkey out of me. Note to self: Do not say that around Blake.' Ruby thought as if she slowly stood up.

Ruby was caught off guard as Kong's muscles tensed and swelled again with enough force to crack the ground beneath his feet as he prepared to move. In a burst of speed that cratered the spots where his two feet once stood, Kong rushed in at Ruby and swung with enough speed and force that she barely managed to get her scythe's pole up to block it. The force of the swing sent the red reaper flying back, hitting, and cratering a wall on impact. Gasping out in pain, Ruby barely leapt away as a shoulder tackle from Kong smashed into the part of the wall where she once was, putting a human sized hole in it on impact as he stopped and turned to face her.

'Gods, if I'm not careful, he'll put his hand through me and turn me into a donut! Come on, Ruby! Think! You got to trip him up. What would Yang do…?' Ruby thought, getting a hint desperate.

"You're fairly good at running away, little rabbit. Let's see how long you can keep it up!" Kong called out as he readied his blade again.

"Would a rabbit do this?" Ruby asked, annoyed at the insult, and loading an extra-large Gravity round into the chamber.

"You might, reckless little rabbit. You might." Kong replied as he smirked.

Growling in rage, Ruby took off with her Semblance at full speed towards Kong. Using the Gravity Dust round, she fired behind her to increase the momentum of her rush. Faster than Kong could react, Ruby nailed him with a flying kick that hit him hard in the chest and sent him skidding back. As Kong slowly recovered from the impact of the kick, Ruby rushed in with her Semblance and slashed at him. Barely getting his sword up in time, Kong's block sent him flying back into a support beam and cracking it nearly in half on impact.

Dusting himself off with one hand, Kong readied his blade. "Forgive me for the insult, girl. Calling you to a rabbit was inappropriate. A fox would be much more appropriate." He told her, readying his blade again as his Aura flared again, his muscles tense again and swelling even more.

"You know, you're starting to get on my nerves, tons of fun." Ruby growled sarcastically.

Kong laughed at that. "Then, by all means, do your best to shut me up!" Kong roared as he rushed at her in a shoulder charge.

The shoulder charge from Kong hit Ruby hard and sent her flying back as he drew his spear from his back. Taking aim, the gorilla Faunus activated the spear's Dust mechanisms to coat it in Lightning Dust before throwing it like a javelin. The lightning-coated spear struck Ruby in the stomach with the force of a cannon shot as she gasped out in pain and was sent flying back, the tip of the spear stabbing into the ground as it stopped dead. Smirking, Kong rushed at the red reaper and swung with his blade, aiming for her head.

Ruby managed to right herself and land on her feet, skidding back. Looking up, she barely managed to bring her scythe's pole up enough to block Kong's swing. The force of his blow cracked and cratered the ground beneath the red reaper's feet as she was driven to her knee. Smirking, Kong lashed out at her with a rolling kick to her face, aiming to try to take her head off.

'If I let this go on for much longer, Roman's gonna get away with his crimes and I'm goanna be dead… I hate that I have to do this, but I have to tap into it.' Ruby begrudgingly admitted and took a deep breath.

It was as if the world went in slow motion for Kong. Before his eyes, before his kick made contact, he saw something he simply could not believe. Ruby's skin began to change color, from her normal creamy skin tone to a striking silver with many red markings. From her head burst forth black with red tipped wolf ears, standing now tall like little flags. Claws burst from her fingertips to further tighten her grip around her weapon. Finally, a great red with silver tipped wolf's tail burst from her skirt, lifting the rear end up slightly. Somehow, with speed and power he did not think was possible, she caught his kick in that very same clawed hand at the ankle.

"What the hell are you…!?" Kong asked in sheer disbelief.

"For the record… I'm a wolf." Ruby growled out.

Before Kong could react, she pulled him in with his leg while swinging Crescent Rose with one hand with the scythe end facing away from Kong. The force of her swing impacted hard into Kong's side with enough force to crack one of his ribs before he was ballpark smashed through two support beams before he crashed into a third, cracking it on impact. Kong groaned in pain as he gripped his cracked rib while the part of the building above him creaked as he looked up at it.

"Oh fu…" Kong barely managed to say before the building came crashing down on top of him, burying him alive.

"Please… let that… be it…" Ruby said through deep pants, her body heat soaring due to her exertion and her many wounds from being smacked around screaming in agony as they slowly healed.

To Ruby's shock, Kong's hand burst force from the rubble in a claw, the fur on the back of it dirtied from the debris. The hand planted itself on the rubble as he slowly began to pull himself free. As Kong stood up at his full height, bloodied and panting heavily with his body covered in cuts from the rubble, he looked up at her. His eyes practically shone with hatred in the darkness as he growled in rage.

"How are you not dead!?" Ruby yelled in sheer disbelief.

"You're going to wish I was, you little bitch!" Kong roared before launching himself at Ruby at top speed.

Ruby, on pure instinct, brought her scythe pole up and blocked Kong's sword swing again. However, this time, she found herself then met with a fist to the face as Kong punched her in the nose once she left herself open. With her head reeling back, this left her open to a knee to the gut that knocked the breath out of her. Gasping in pain, Ruby found herself knocked back with a slash on her torso.

Quickly recovering, Ruby rushed in with her Semblance and kicked Kong in the temple with full speed and strength. This rattled Kong as he stepped back in pain, leaving him open for Ruby's next blow. Swinging Crescent Rose down with all over strength with the blade facing away from Kong, she slashed the heavy scythe head down onto his skull with all the speed and force she could muster. With gravity adding to the power behind the blow, the impact of the hit finally sent Kong crumpling to the ground.

Panting heavily, Ruby waited to see if Kong got up again. Seeing him not moving, she cautiously made her way over to him. Gently kicking him in the side, all Ruby heard was a dull, pained moan as Kong did not get up. Sighing in relief, the red reaper began to transform back.

"Call me a rabbit one more time, why don't you?" Ruby grumbled, as she started to make her way towards a large ruckus up the road. In her mind that only meant one thing. Roman.

Running up through the alleyway, she turned to look at where the commotion was. Using her enhanced sight, she saw swerving security SUV's, explosions, and the flashes of tracer rounds lighting up the night sky. With a deep sigh, she raced off after them, using her legs' newfound power to conserve aura.

Up at the convoy, things had not quite gone to Roman's illustrious plan. The route, as he found out, was not what was sent to him, and now the extraction team were out of place, having to try and move at a pace they were not equipped with. In and amongst the convoy, the reduced numbers, and the lack of Kong's great strength, made the hijacking far less effective. The grunts equally were underperforming to Roman's standards, making him wish he just hired more goons from Junior. Sad as he was to privately admit that. Now on the top of a speeding semi, he was losing men, time, and most importantly, patience.

"Neo! We need to pick up the pace and hijack this damn truck!" Roman yelled as he shot a guard's head off at point-blank range.

Neo, surrounded by a full seven guards, scowled at that. The guards were like termites in a clown car. No matter how many she beat up, sent flying, or flung away, more somehow showed up. This put her at the back of the trailer, as Roman was fighting his way to the front. His haste, however, was making his footing less than stable. Turning hard to face a guard coming up from a SUV, his polished black shoe failed to find its grip on the metal. Neo to her horror, Roman begin to fall off the trailer.

Using her small frame and swiftness to get herself away from the guards, she ran like a rabid jungle cat towards him. Jumping, sprinting, and flipping in mere moments to reach him. Her arm stretched out and for a moment, she almost got him. However, it was not enough. The chance slipped by her, and Roman fell hard onto the ground below, rolling as the convoy barreled past. Slowly after collecting himself, the adrenaline and pain throbbing in every part of his body, he got up and hobbled to grab his hat and cane. Dusting off his hat, he suddenly was covered in bright light.

"Oh, shit no…" Roman said in horror.

Barreling towards him was one of the SUVs. In the chaos and to avoid weapons fire it had lagged and was speeding to catch up. In the dark, cramped old streets they only just saw him. Roman shut his eyes as he waited for the sudden, violent end to his long, successful career. He opened his eyes as if a sudden and violent noise happened in front of him. To his shock, the SUV had… stopped.

"What the fuck…?" Roman muttered in disbelief.

As he moved away from the spluttering headlights, he noticed something red fluttering in the night's breeze. To his shock… It was Ruby. The SUV had smashed its front into her, wrecked the crumple zone, and even upturned the engine block in the bottom of the front window. She clearly had skidded some distance, but with her own body she somehow stopped it. Faintly he heard breathing, even as her blood leaked into the now crushed engine bay, mixing on the ground with oil, coolant, and broken pieces of metal.

Neo rushed up to see this scene of complete destruction, horrified to see Ruby in such a state. Yet most surprising of all was what Roman did. He just stood there, staring at her, his hand gripped firmly on his weapon. Yet the most perfect chance he had to get rid of her was there before him… and he did not move to do it. Instead, he turned and walked away.

"Let's go home, Neo. We're done for the night." Was all Roman said aloud, using his hand to motion her to follow.

Turning to look, her face twitched a bit in regret, she moved to catch up with him. Yet the whole time as they left Ruby on the wrecked hood of that SUV, Roman was muttering. Even Neo's keen hearing could not quite make it out through the blaring horn of the ruined vehicle. But what she could make out sounded an awful lot like him repeating "Red" and "life debt."

Monsterhuntergod: Apologies for the lateness, but we got a hint sidetracked the first day. Still trying to get ourselves back on track after the months of chaos. We have far too much to give up on this, and I thank everyone for your eternal patience. Now to my partner in mayhem.

Uzumaki Ricky: And we are done! That was one wild chapter to write! I hope you all enjoyed this one. Especially Ruby's battle against my OC Kong. Aloha and good night!

Monsterhuntergod: If you like Kong, you're in luck. That big bruiser will show up in Tiger King and Dragon Queen, Ricky's story, down the line. After Kong in this story, well you'll have to keep reading to see. Next time, the aftermath of this night of destruction will force the less outgoing members of Ruby's growing friend group to have to stand on their own in, "The Shy, The Meek, and The Cardinals."
