Chapter 59 - Chapter Fifty-Nine - Crazy Sisters

An hour later.

Andrea's group once again left the camp with Daryl and Mady soon following after. Hershel, Dale and Maggie were the ones left to manage the place while they were away, alongside Mary of Terminus.

Currently, Jill and Amy are by the garden at the front yard harvesting some produce for lunch later.

Amy is currently picking the fruits from the tomatoes and turned her head to look at Jill. "Hey, do you think we should make more improvements to this place or look for a better place to live and move there?"

Jill paused on the cleaning the weeds around the plants and looked at her. "Why would we do that? We've already started here, let's see it to the end. We'll only move someplace else if we really don't have any choice."

Amy thought for a moment before shrugging her shoulders. "Fair point, but I was thinking that if..if we move someplace else. Then we should sweep that hospital down the highway. It's the best place to settle down if you think about the things lying inside there."

"It's only the best place to be if power were still running. Besides, we have a garden here while also surrounded by woodlands which provide a lot of resources that we need. Most importantly, this place is isolated. Survivors wouldn't even know we're here if we don't make it known." Jill responded with a reasoning that would convince even an eight-year-old.

She paused before continuing, "And when was the last time people accidentally stumbled into this place? None, zero. It means people do not know this place exists, and the ones who do are probably among those things roaming outside now."

Jill's words got Amy thinking. "Huh, I didn't think of that. It's just that this place is so gloomy. The corridors barely get any sunlight because of how they were designed, and we had to carry a literal fire torch while moving through them. It's like we're back to the Middle Ages."

Jill chuckled in response. "It's not "like". We're literally living in a modern-day Middle Ages. Worst of all, we can't even get a generator running because it'd attract those annoying things outside."

"Fortunately, the guys were able to dig for groundwater and built a well. Otherwise, I don't know if I'll be able to live without being able to take a shower at least once a day. Just imagine your body being all sticky due to bodily fluids." Amy shuddered just thinking about the feeling of being sticky.

"Yeah. Night activities would surely be off the books if showering was not readily available." Jill imagined and she couldn't help but shudder at the thought. Though she failed to notice Amy glaring at her from the side.

"Hmmm, nightly activities, at least you have someone to do those things with. "Amy snorted in annoyance.

Jill just chuckled in response. "There's a lot of men flirting with you. You could choose any of them to mess around with. Like that guy Alex, he's always buzzing around you after working hours."

"Hmmp! If only they were half as good as that guy." Remembering those men constantly buzzing around her, Amy became displeased.

She paused in her actions and Jill slightly moved her upper body away from Amy. Then threw a dubious look her way. "That guy? You mean Michael? Dang girl, you're still hung up on him? He's your sister's man for goodness' sake!"

Amy just smirked and her following words shook Jill. "It's fine. Andrea says she wouldn't mind it if I slept with him. Well, she was uncomfortable at first when I told her that I'm attracted to Michael, but she eventually accepted after careful consideration."

"What?!" Jill let out a yelp.

"I said s-"

"I know what I heard. You don't need to repeat it. I'm just shocked that your sister became so accepting of it that quick. I guess you weren't the only crazy one in the family." Cutting her off, the shock on Jill's face still hasn't faded.

Amy shrugged. "So? This world had already gotten crazy. Sharing a man wasn't new before, and now..people probably wouldn't care anymore even if they heard of it. After all, people these days are too busy trying to survive to care about people's lives at this point. Heck, there might even be people out there thinking something far crazier than mine. Some... by now have probably even fulfilled some of their dark fantasies that they weren't able to do so before because there was still some law and order restraining them."

"B*tch! I'm just realizing that now." Jill let out a curse. She continued. "I guess, we are lucky to be able to have a safe place to live. I had forgotten how dark a human heart can be without something restraining those insidious desires of theirs."

"Before he left, Michael had repeatedly reminded us to never show mercy to anyone that wants to bring harm to us. That's why the majority voted to kill those people before. Though it was Daryl who dirtied his hands, we weren't so innocent either." Amy suddenly felt a little sullen.

"I guess it was either us or them." Jill tried to console themselves with those following words.

Concluding such a dark topic, it was followed by silence between them.

Following that, the two just worked in silence while pondering about their lives.

It was just supposed to be simple banter between the two, but in the end, it once again reminded them that the world isn't the same anymore.

Somewhere in Alabama.

Michael and the others stopped for a quick meal by a roadside diner slash gas station located in the sticks.

While Rosita is busy preparing a quick meal for them. Michael had made his way on top of the diner to inspect their surroundings to see if there's any walkers roaming around the vicinity.

While up there, Michael opened his Trojan System that he hadn't opened in a good while.

There were a lot of missing items from last time since Michael had handed his Glock 17 over to Rosita and made the Sig Sauer P320 his primary and the Winchester 1892 as his secondary.

'Ohh, I had completely forgotten that I'd gained a level a few days ago.' Michael thought in surprise while looking at his present attributes.

Ding!

He immediately allocated his enhancement point to Agility and soon immediately felt that familiar itchy feeling all over his body.

"Hahaha."

'Now, I've truly gone beyond human limits with this.' Michael, with a smirk, let out a chuckle while repeatedly opening and closing his hands. Trying to feel the slight increase to his current physique.

'I wonder how many levels I will need to be as strong as Steve Rogers.' He thought in amusement while thinking about the man that has America's ass.

'I should farm more levels when I return since I still don't know what changes have occurred to this world due to my existence.' He thought. A little worried since that feeling of a looming danger had never faded once since he had encountered Rick's group.

"Hmmm? What the heck is she doing?"

Michael had just closed his System Status when he noticed something down below him.

Rosita had finished warming up some water and prepared the cup noodles the kids will eat.

She then left them and went over to the truck, popped up its hood and started examining the engine.

She failed to realize that when she bent over. The direction that her ass was pointing to was directly towards Michael, and when he noticed it, he was greeted by the sight of its amazing perkiness. Especially since she's only wearing shorts, making her curves even more pronounced to his eyes.

"Dang!"

'What a sight! Indeed, who'd be able to control themselves with that thing swaying in front of them. No wonder Eugene was being such a creep during that episode.' Michael chuckled and even remembered a certain episode where Eugene was watching his two friends having sex like a damn pervert.

Thud!

Athena and the kids who were busy eating and taking shade around the gas pumps witnessed Michael jumping down from the roof of the diner.

Noah eagerly grabbed one of the cup noodles lying beside him and briskly walked towards Michael and handed him the cup noodles.

"Here, Miss Rosita prepared it for you."

Michael smiled as he ruffled the kid's hair while taking the cup noodles from him. "Thanks, little guy."

Noah smiled before running back to his sister and Jose and resumed eating.

On the other hand, Michael went over to Rosita while eating his food.

"What's wrong?"

Rosita turned around and saw Michael walking over behind her. She grabbed the towel lying beside her and started wiping the grime off her fingers while saying. "Nothing, just checking to see if it can still take us to Atlanta."

"So, how is it?"

"It will run." Rosita smiled.

Bang!

"Kyaaa!"

Rosita had just finished saying those words when a gunshot followed by a piercing scream dangerously rang out somewhere around them.

Rosita quickly turned to the kids and ran over towards them while urging them to move.

"Kids, come over here!"

On the other hand, Michael's face became dark as he let out a curse.

"Oh, come on!"

He was annoyed since he had noticed earlier that something seems to always happen every time, he thinks it's going to be peaceful for a while.
