A red moon and an even redder eye.
Hurriedly clambering atop the stone platform, a pair of fists crashed into the already fragmented stonework. rendering its use as a platform null and void.
Collapsing into numerous other pieces of stone, my body flitted to the side and hid within the explosion of grey dust, holding a tri pronged spear fashioned out of wood
Having finished fashioning the new armament, a blade forged from steel found its way into my other free hand and hid within the wood, this was going to be a surprise for later.
Dashing to the left where my warm body met cool air, pillars of hellfire sprouted up from the ground announced only by the numerous familiar looking carvings on the ground
But if it was flames I was dealing with, then flames I would deal.
Coating my entire body in orange fire, for the brief moment I was engulfed in the black flame that sprouted from the ground, it fought against the orange fire covering my body.
Of course the mana cost of such an action was much more than I would like to admit, so as soon as I got out of the black flame, the fire armor coating my form disappeared into a whiff of grey smoke.
Planting my foremost foot onto the ground and twisting my body round, the three pronged spear often known as a trident flew from my hands
"YOU ACURSED BLOODBAG STAY STILL!" Screaming loudly, the Vampire count slapped the Trident out of the air sending it spinning out to who knows where
"Why don't you do the same!"
Smiling underneath my breath, the ends of the trident morphed a claw that instantly wrapped around the hand that just slapped them.
Forcefully tying his hand to his shoulder, the wooden restraints creaked worryingly against the bulging muscles.
Growling at the sudden restraint, the Vampire Count was set on using his free hand to rip apart the wooden binding.
Like I would let that happen.
"Hey! Leech! Eat something grey and solid for a change!"
Pointing my left hand at the giant being flapping his wings irritatedly, like a spring, the wooden fibres within my arms tensed before releasing all the tension within the limb, sending the metal sword flying out like a rail gun.
A very magnet independent railgun of course, more like a crossbow if anything.
But despite it not flying as fast as a railgun, the speed at which the blade was far from unthreatening.
*CLANG!
Crashing against the green flesh with a sound that should've never occurred with normal flesh, the sword spun around in the air wildly before my hand clasped onto its hilt.
Flipping through the air, the extremely angry lord of blood roared loudly sending blood and spittle flying through the air.
In addition, a bright white laser of power instantly pierced the air and left a superheated trail of heated vapors in its wake
Directing the inferno fire on my hands and feet, my body collided against the wall as Dracula tried to claw the binding off his chest again.
And again, like I was going to let that happen.
Swiftly repositioning myself so that my legs would be vertical against the falling stone, pure energy filled my legs before they exploded with power.
*BOOM
Leaving a crater of broken stone in my wake, my body snapped to another falling stone and kicked off of it, turning the stone
Repeating this action several dozens of times in a few seconds, my slowed perception took in my surroundings as I held the burning blade in my hands.
Leaving an orange trail wherever I went, a thin scar appeared on the Count's green skin bleeding blue.
Dust exploding all around the Vampire, my body seemingly was in several places at once as an orange trail carved a path all around the flying vampire count seemingly forming a cage around his green hulking form.
And that cage was getting smaller and smaller with every cycle of broken stone and exploded dust, carving even more and more wounds into the giant body.
But nevertheless, I forgot one crucial detail.
He was intelligent and sentient, and as sentient beings go, we were pretty damn good at recognizing patterns.
Especially if said patterns involved saving your life.
"GOTCHA"
Face twisting into a horrid copy of a grin, goosebumps rose up on the sides of my arm as I hurriedly abandoned my newest strike.
Half succeeding, my left arm was once more accosted by a giant clawed hand as the other trapped hand bulged against its restraints, a long bloodied smile crossing his face as the wounds on his body simultaneously healed and burst open with blue light.
'That's interesting.'
Noting this little fact down as I watched all the scars heal in real time while the blue light leaking from his body intensified, the Vampire Count laughed loudly while terrible smelling breath blew onto my face.
"YOU THINK THAT THIS WOULD BE ENOUGH TO KILL ME? WITH THE POWER OF THE BOSS CELL, I'M NEVER DYING!"
Laughing loudly, I hurriedly manipulated the vine rune existing on my right arm and maneuvered my arm out of the Vampire's grasp by transforming it's form.
This new prosthetic of mine was rather effective in that regard
Swiftly twisting around in the air by taking advantage of my newly transformed limb, it stabbed into a nearby stone platform, and like a fishing hook reeled me in like a fish on the line.
The only difference between me and a fish though is that I was more than capable of killing the fisherman.
Glancing backwards at the stunned face of the Vampire Count who hurriedly reacted by raising his arm to call down a deluge of meteorites, the blue light on his arms burst out with an even greater intensity before meteors of all sizes came crashing down on what little platforms were left.
What was interesting to me was the fact that when he called down those meteors, the network of cracks on his green body spread for a brief moment before disappearing once he had finished his call.
But I could experiment a bit more on what those cracks meant once I survived this barrage of meteors reenacting the end of the dinosaurs.
Retracting the wooden tentacle back into my hand, the first of the meteors collided against the platform I was on.
And as physics decided, an action was met with another action of equal force, and there was no greater force equalizer than momentum.
Spinning the platform I was on around, the second and third of the meteors decided to collide against the platform as well as I flew through the air.
"!"
Red eye widening with glee, the neon blue monster raised his claw and tried to rip apart at the bindings on his left arm.
Something that I was currently unable to do anything about.
I could make it hurt like a bitch though.
Clenching my fist as I flipped through the air, the meteors hot on my heels with blazing magma, the binding on the Vampire Count's body instantly exploded into flame.
It was a self destructive act that made sure that any construct made of wood would find it hard pressed to stay intact, but at the same time, it was a surefire way of hurting the Vampire.
Besides, with the way things were going, eventually, the Count was going to find a timeframe where he would tear off the bindings before I could capitalize more on it.
So why not make sure that the bindings had some use left on them?
Smiling a smile that only a pyromaniac would have, the flames clinging to the Count's body burnt even fiercer as chunks upon chunks of cells disappeared from the vial on my waist.
*BAM!
An explosion occurred on the side of the tower as the meteors collided against its surface sending chunks of stone flying everywhere
"ATTACK HIM MY FAMILIARS!"
And with it came the annoying horde of red bats aiming to devour everything red that wasn't them.
Screeching loudly, the blood colored bat swarmed the sky as the majority of them ignored the Vampires command.
The minority that were both close enough to notice me and hear the count's command however instantly redirected their flying bodies into a crash course with my own.
Narrowing my eyes, air burst at my limbs as I spun around, letting the numerous drops of loot in my inventory make an appearance in the wide open world.
And seeing as that they were nothing more than bones, rotten flesh, bat wings they were rather effective projectiles.
*SCREE SCREE SCREEE
Running around the now franticly panicking bats colliding against each other and falling into the abyss below, I stomped on the few bodies scampering atop the stone surface.
Bursting into blood mist, the Vampire count let out an angered scream once he noticed that most of his familiars weren't listening to him, no doubt a side effect of merging with the boss cell much to early and instead turned to look for me.
To bad for him, those bats despite being rather annoying when they wanted, served as excellent camouflage.
That is until his legs glowed blue and pillars of black flame began to consume all of the bats flitting about with no coherent goal in mind, burning them alive
"How harsh of you, and here I thought that you loved your bloodsucking cousins."
"THIS IS ALL BECAUSE OF YOU!" Instantly snapping his head to the direction where my voice came from, blue gathered in his mouth before a laser cut apart a huge portion of the swarm.
Thankfully, I was far from where the laser had carved a hole out of the swarm
Even more thankfully, now that the flock of bats had thinned, I was now able to see my target.
Jumping upwards, with the help of the ram rune engraved onto the heels of my foot, gravity seemed like an anchor as my foot instantly dragged my body down to the top of his head.
Have you ever wondered what it would feel like if an anvil fell on your head like those cartoons>
Well I can tell you already that you wouldn't be turning into a flat piece of paper or an accordian, I can tell you that much.
Smiling as memories of the past filled my hand, the not so nostalgic scent of blood hit my nose as my body collided against the head of the Vampire count, shutting his mouth still spewing the laser and causing his one good eye to bulge.
"Oh... You should go get that checked."
"GHHRRR YYYYOOOOUUUU!!!"
I laughed to myself before being forced to shut up as the head underneath my feet exploded into bits of bone, flesh and light.
