Blaziken is finally evolving!
After relieving the anxiety in his heart, the Blaziken, which had already met the evolution conditions, leveled up again, entering the evolutionary state. The sudden burst of flames on its body was a sign of the energy within exploding outward in powerful waves. Seeing the changes occurring in the Blaziken, Pupitar and the other Pokémon who had been resting nearby quickly came over to observe the transformation. Though happy for its evolution, Aoki remained alert to his surroundings to prevent any wild Pokémon from interfering during this critical moment.
Aoki used his scanning system to observe the physical data changes occurring in the Blaziken. Its physical development had reached the absolute limit at this stage - any further improvement would be minimal and painfully slow without evolution. Only through this transformation, when its body broke free from current limitations, could it achieve another substantial leap forward in capability. As a Fire and Fighting-type Pokémon, it still had much training ahead to reach its full potential.
The flames completely enveloped Blaziken's body as the white evolutionary glow appeared. Aoki took out the carefully prepared qualification potion he had been saving - this was the most effective moment to administer it. Using his psychic powers, he carefully guided all of the potion into Blaziken's mouth. The Pokémon swallowed instinctively, consuming every last drop. Immediately the flames on its body intensified dramatically, and within the original yellow-red flames, tiny wisps of golden fire began appearing - these burned at the highest temperature Blaziken could currently produce.
Finally, the full evolutionary light surrounded it completely as its body underwent fundamental changes. Evolution represents a qualitative transformation for Pokémon, affecting not just physical form but energy systems and even spiritual essence. This remarkable process theoretically grants Pokémon near-limitless potential for growth. When Arceus created the Pokémon world, even it likely didn't anticipate such incredible creatures emerging from the natural laws of the universe.
On the system's display, all of Blaziken's data metrics shattered previous limits, reaching unprecedented heights. This represented the growth earned through its relentless efforts to push physical boundaries during training. "Screeee!!!" came an excited cry from within the glowing light. Then the white energy and flames burst outward like fireworks, revealing the transformed Pokémon within.
A magnificent sight greeted them - white feathers gleaming, sharp claws wrapped in protective bandages, powerful muscular legs, piercing blue eyes that contrasted strikingly with its red, yellow and white coloration highlighting its extraordinary presence. Flames still licked at its arms and legs, their heat palpable even at a distance before subsiding into what appeared to be orange-yellow feathering. Standing at 1.9 meters tall, it now towered over the 1.7 meter tall Aoki - a dramatic change from its previous sub-meter height into this imposing figure.
Blaziken had arrived!

After evolution, Blaziken's aptitude successfully upgraded to blue. Having reached near-blue qualifications before evolving, then progressing to light blue through subsequent training and battles, the qualification potion provided the final boost to achieve full blue status. Now among Aoki's team, both Pupitar and Blaziken had reached blue qualifications - keeping pace with Steven's powerful Pokémon.
For Learnt moves, it originally only knew Heat Wave, but had learned Low Sweep and Hone Claws from other Pokémon during island training. The HM moves had expanded significantly beyond just defensive options - these were valuable discs Aoki purchased at the last trade conference specifically for Blaziken. Moves like Earthquake, Fire Blast, U-turn, Low Kick, Rock Slide and especially Swords Dance represented substantial investments, showing Aoki's confidence in Blaziken's potential.
The Swords Dance disc alone had cost a small fortune - initially Aoki was unsure which Pokémon to teach it to. But considering Blaziken's impending evolution and the possibility of obtaining its Mega Stone in Kalos, the combination of Speed Boost, Swords Dance boosts, and Mega Evolution would create an incredibly potent attacker once Blaziken's level increased sufficiently.
Post-evolution, Blaziken naturally learned powerful moves like Blaze Kick (85 power Fire/Fighting move perfect for its typing), Flame Charge, and Sky Uppercut. The latter two both exceeded 100 power but carried risks - Flame Charge causes recoil damage while Sky Uppercut deals massive self-damage if it misses. These high-risk, high-reward moves combined with Speed Boost and Swords Dance could make Blaziken's offensive potential rival or even surpass Aoki's Drapion given proper training.
Aoki approached his now-taller companion, filled with pride at how far the once-timid Pokémon had come. But suddenly Blaziken grimaced in pain, dropping to one knee. "The talent potion's side effects - you should return to your Pokeball to rest," Aoki said, reaching for the ball.
"Scree!" Blaziken raised a hand to stop him, slowly standing back up despite the discomfort. Aoki blinked in surprise - no Pokémon had ever resisted the potion's side effects like this before. Was it Blaziken's exceptional physical conditioning? Or perhaps residual effects from that scarlet rock energy it had mentioned absorbing previously?
"You want to keep training to adjust to your new form?" Aoki asked, understanding dawning. The determined fire in Blaziken's eyes confirmed his guess - this Pokémon always pushed beyond limits, and evolution wouldn't change that. They would continue training together, mastering these new powers through shared effort and determination. Around them, the other Pokémon voiced their encouragement, ready to support their teammate's next growth phase. The journey ahead promised even greater challenges, but with this evolution, they'd gained the strength to face them.
