"Believe me, it won't come true. And even if it did, I will still protect you. Don't worry," Damon replied.
Hearing his reply, my heart became heavy again. That uneasy feeling was circling in my stomach, telling me that something bad was gonna happen—but what, I had no idea. But I think I should try to forget about that curse, just like Damon said. It was nothing more than just a ghost's bullshit.
His fingers were rubbing on my palm, which made me snap out of my thoughts and glance at him. His eyes were already on me.
"Why are you thinking so much about that? Just forget about everything."
I nod and try to distract myself by looking around and looking at him. But my mind was repeating everything that had happened.
"Uh, yes, Damon. Why did that Alpha come to meet you earlier in the evening when me and Orian came out from your studies? An Alpha came to meet you, didn't he?"
