"Ms. Parker, I thought you liked working for Jude. What happened?" Chantelle asked, curious.
She wasn't in a rush. The only thing she had to do was attend the charity dinner that night. Besides, she didn't feel like going home to face Daniel. So, she decided to dig a little deeper.
"Mr. Jude has changed. He used to be a workaholic. But lately, he's not working at all. His only joy now is making my life miserable!" Shiela complained.
Making her miserable? That sounded... interesting.
"How exactly is he torturing you?"
"Well, besides doing my actual job, he makes me button up his shirt, tie his shoelaces, and even wash his clothes. He asks me to go to his house to clean and cook. I've been staying there for less than two weeks, and I'm already exhausted."
The more Shiela talked, the angrier she got.
"I told him I couldn't take it anymore. And guess what? He moved into my house! I've basically become his nanny after work. So, is it really that much to ask for a raise?"
