'Even here…?'
A frown appeared on Kael's face as he saw the familiar darkness.
It was the same darkness that he saw in Everveil.
'Is it because I am still in Everveil?'
Kael theorized.
It made sense—even accessing his Mindflow was as easy as it was in Everveil—so it could be possible that everything was linked.
Kael then tried to use his powers to show illusions to the people around him, but it wasn't working.
He tried showing Lavinia her own image, but she didn't react to it. Even stronger illusions, like placing a creepy beast on her face, didn't work.
The Princess continued to laugh together with her Spirits, and Kael now got even more confused.
This did not happen in Everveil. Whenever he cast illusions on anyone, they worked. Yes, he still wasn't a master in the craft, so the Kitsunes were able to see through his illusions, but at the very least, he could still cast something.
But here, his powers seemed useless.
