Inside the Elders Hall, all members of the Iron Council sat on their respective seats. All the subordinates were excused out of the Hall. The only other person standing in the middle of the Hall in front of all the Elders was Kayden.
"What were you thinking?"
The Matriarch questioned with a strict look on her face. Kayden's body flinched as he stared at his mother.
"You were told to bring Hero Kael here. Who allowed you to challenge him to a duel?"
"…I wanted to see how strong he was."
Kayden answered as he lowered his head.
"…"
The Matriarch remained silent, and her silence made Kayden panic even further and he started overexplaining,
"I went there with the intention to bring him here, but when my eyes fell on him, he looked weak. It piqued my curiosity, I wanted to know how someone like him managed to form a Bond with a Dragon and… whether I will be able to form a Bond with one as well."
