Screams from below the city echoed as sirens wailed in the distance.
Weyooweeyoo...
"Oh my God, the Van Hellsing Hotel just went up in flames!"
"Was it a gas leak or something?"
"Ahhh... My mom's up there on the 149th floor! Oh God, oh God... Move, move... get out of the way!"
Panic spread rapidly, especially among those nearby, as a massive fire raged on the top floor.
A thick cloud of black smoke poured from the building, devouring the structure above as it burned.
Meanwhile, Adam hovered at the center of the chaos, suspended in the air above the blazing fire.
He looked down upon the destruction, the havoc he had unleashed.
The flames consumed the surrounding oxygen, growing fiercer by the second.
But then, through the thick smoke, Adam noticed a shadow… the outline of a familiar figure slowly emerging.
The fire raged around them, yet seemed to have no effect, leaving them utterly untouched, as if the flames themselves dared not harm them.
