Naruto took the lead and charged directly at Orochimaru.
"Wait a minute, Naruto!" Sakura cried out in shock. But Naruto had already appeared in front of Kabuto in a blur. "Leaf Great Whirlwind! Shadow of the Dancing Leaf!"
With a loud bang, Kabuto was kicked into the air. "Primary Lotus!"
BOOM! Naruto spun and slammed Kabuto into the ground with a violent crash.
"Ugh…" Naruto shook his head in frustration, only to see the figure he just slammed into the earth burst apart into a cluster of wooden logs.
Substitution Jutsu.
Kabuto reappeared next to Orochimaru, rubbing his jaw where Naruto had landed his kick. "Lord Orochimaru, just how powerful is this so-called 'Konoha Savage Big Brother' you always speak of? Is this kind of power really exclusive to his heirs?!"
"Hmph! If my elder brother truly stepped in, you'd be crushed before you could even blink," Orochimaru sneered. "You wouldn't even get the chance to speak to me."
He paused and turned to Naruto, who was still shaking his head, visibly annoyed.
"But…" Orochimaru's tone shifted, his eyes narrowing. "This brat… he's not far off from my brother either."
Naruto slowly turned to face the two, his expression serious now.
"Go all out, Kabuto," Orochimaru said coolly. "Otherwise, you'll die."
Kabuto nodded, slowly taking off his glasses and placing them into his pouch. Then, he inserted a pair of contact lenses, cracking his neck as he began to release his chakra.
"Ahhhhhhhh!!!" Kabuto shouted as his chakra flared wildly.
The air around him distorted with pressure. His clothes billowed violently as the sheer chakra output lifted strands of his hair into the air, as if defying gravity.
Naruto: "…"
Just then, Yamato and Sai arrived beside Naruto.
"That's it?!" Yamato frowned as he studied Kabuto. He couldn't quite understand what he was seeing, but the way the fabric of Kabuto's clothes was flaring made him seem overwhelmingly strong.
"This," Naruto said solemnly, "is called an Explosive Seed! When someone is pushed to their absolute limit, unimaginable power explodes from within! Their combat potential increases exponentially, and eventually, they ascend into a Super Saiyan and destroy the world!"
The three looked at each other and unconsciously swallowed hard. They didn't quite get what Naruto was saying, but it sounded incredibly impressive.
"…Actually, I totally made that up," Naruto shrugged. "Forget what I just said."
Kaboom! A shockwave burst outward as Kabuto finished charging. He launched himself forward with an ear-splitting roar.
"He's fast!" Yamato gasped. Kabuto's speed now rivaled that of someone using the Eighth Gate!
Kabuto punched Naruto straight in the face—but Naruto caught it with both hands.
BOOM!
The ground beneath them cracked and cratered under the force of the clash. Yamato, Sai, and Sakura jumped back in alarm.
"What terrifying strength!" Yamato exclaimed.
"Seventh Gate—Open!" Naruto shouted calmly before spinning into a kick that launched Kabuto backwards.
Kabuto rolled midair, then landed on his feet and channeled chakra into his hands.
"Chakra Scalpel!"
He charged at Naruto again, shouting, "Ora ora ora ora!"
Naruto: "…" Young man… you don't fight fair. Using scalpels in a fistfight?
Naruto darted left and right, dodging the strikes while Kabuto screamed nonsensically. Subconsciously, Naruto joined in.
"Dai! Dai! Dai!"
Weirdly enough… the rhythm synced up. Naruto was oddly enjoying it. Guess this time travel thing really has turned life into a full-on crossover series.
Everyone: "…"
"MUDAAA!!" Naruto roared suddenly, "Rozan Shoryuha!!"
A fierce uppercut smashed into Kabuto's chin, sending him flying.
Naruto struck a victory pose and swept his thumb across his nose. "A-da~!"
Kabuto slowly climbed to his feet again. "Naruto-kun… I didn't expect you to be this strong. Then I suppose I must use my ultimate secret technique!"
He clenched both fists and stood with legs apart, shouting with such force it sounded like he was straining with everything he had.
"Ha~~~!"
The sheer chakra release sent shockwaves in all directions, knocking dust and debris back.
The rest of Team Kakashi regrouped and stared in disbelief.
"He feels even stronger than before, Naruto-kun," Yamato muttered. "Are you sure you can still handle this?"
"You kidding—" Naruto began, but suddenly—
BOOM!!
Kabuto vanished from sight, appearing next to Orochimaru in a blur. Before anyone could react, he grabbed Orochimaru and took off, vanishing into the horizon like a cannonball.
"…The hell?" Naruto stared in stunned silence. "Did Orochimaru just get kidnapped?!"
Sai, Yamato, and Sakura: "…"
"Sh*t! Chase them!" Naruto yelled. "Earth Style: Ultra-Lightweight Boulder Technique!"
With a flash of chakra, everyone began to float in midair.
"Huh?!" Sakura squeaked as they all lifted off the ground.
Before they could stabilize, Naruto shoved them forward with his chakra.
"Bastard!!" Naruto roared ahead, "Don't run!!"
"Lord Orochimaru." Kabuto looked solemn as he landed with Orochimaru in a dense forest clearing.
"Hm," Orochimaru responded coolly.
"I'm sorry, Lord Orochimaru," Kabuto said, catching his breath. "The explosive force from your Guisen-style Chakra Flow Technique was too much to control in front of them."
"It's fine," Orochimaru said. "This forest cover may allow us to escape undetected. It might be better this way."
"Huff…" Naruto exhaled as he and the rest landed on the ground nearby.
"Ughhhh—" the three behind him immediately vomited.
"What's wrong with you guys?" Naruto asked, genuinely confused.
"You… idiot…" Sakura wheezed weakly. "Flying's fine… but what the hell was that spinning?! Ugh—!"
"Oh…" Naruto rubbed his head awkwardly. In the rush to catch up, he had unconsciously manipulated the airflow with his chakra to spin and accelerate—completely forgetting the others were still behind him.
"Hahaha…" Naruto laughed nervously—then pointed. "Wait! Look! Orochimaru's gone!"
Sakura didn't even respond, simply waving him off as she tried to stop retching.
At that moment, Sai forced down his nausea and stood up. "I'll go after them."
Without waiting for a reply, he drew a massive ink bird and flew into the air.
"Naruto-kun…" Yamato hesitated, "Sai, he…"
Naruto waved him off. "Didn't you plant a tracking seed on him? We can follow it if needed."
"…Danzo…" Naruto muttered under his breath, eyes narrowing with suspicion.

Elsewhere…
"Lord Orochimaru," Kabuto warned, glancing upward. "Look!"
"Mm." Orochimaru narrowed his eyes.
Suddenly, his neck extended like a serpent. His jaw unhinged grotesquely as a massive snake launched from his mouth—and from within it, the Kusanagi Sword burst out.
SWOOSH!
In one strike, Sai's ink hawk was sliced clean in half!
"Nani?!" Sai gasped as he fell from the sky, crashing to the ground between Orochimaru and Kabuto.
He rolled into a crouch, kunai drawn. "A little mouse, huh?" Kabuto said with a smirk. "Let me take care of him, Lord Orochimaru."
"Wait!" Sai raised both hands. "I'm from the Foundation—Root—under Lord Danzo! I'm not your enemy! I have something to tell you!"
"Danzo?" Orochimaru chuckled, licking his lips. "That old relic is still breathing? What message does he have for me?"
"Lord Danzo entrusted me with a message for you," Sai said calmly, still smiling. "Actually—"
"Let me give you a warning," Orochimaru cut him off sharply. "Be very careful what you say to me."
There was a cold pause… then a sudden shing.
Orochimaru lunged forward and drove the Kusanagi Sword toward Sai's chest.
"Nani!!" Sai gasped as the blade pierced him. He clutched at the bleeding wound in shock.
Orochimaru spoke slowly, his voice dripping with menace:
"Because if you aren't… you'll die."
