The Christmas party was a success and it ended on a good note. Jane and Diana insisted on me cutting a cake as it was my birthday too. I didn't let them do it when the guests were still here.
But once the party ended, although it was already midnight, the three of us, along with Antonio and Audrey, still had a small celebration.
A new day had started and it was time for work. I was waiting in the receiving area of the guest wing of the mansion when I heard the click of heels.
Looking up, I saw Serafina walking towards me while her men stayed back just outside the threshold. After a long time, I could feel her aura again. She was back in her element.
She walked with an air of authority and elegance. Her face was stern as she nodded at me.
"Good morning, Serafina. Please take a seat."
"Good morning." She sat down elegantly on the plush sofa in front of me.
A server immediately came with a tray of tea, black coffee and a variety of snacks and put it down on the table.
