"Cough!"
Lily Turner was startled by Easton Holmes' words, causing her to choke on her bun and start coughing.
Seeing this, Easton quickly pulled the bun away from her mouth, and with the other hand, he patted her back to help her breathe, "Eat slowly, no one's fighting you for it."
"Cough... cough..."
Upon hearing this, Lily coughed even more, and seeing her like this, Easton immediately straightened up and walked out of the dining room. She thought he had left, but after a moment, he returned with a glass of water.
"Have some water to help."
As he came to her side, he handed her the cup, and seeing her eyes wide as she looked at him, he smiled, "To make up for the trouble I caused, I cooled down the water with a bowl."
Looking at the glass of water Easton offered her, Lily's dissatisfaction vanished instantly, replaced by gratitude, though she maintained a show of displeasure towards him on the surface.
