Now dressed in a robe, Davion was seated on the bed, his back leaned on the headrest with a book in hand and a candelabra with its candles lit on the side. His demeanor was calm, but only he knew the raging storm that was underneath that calm expression.
His eyes were focused on the content of the book when he felt any presence suddenly appear in his room. He would have taken immediate action had he not felt the familiar power belonging to Evans.
He closed his book but didn't move, expecting to see or at least hear him talk since he wouldn't come into his room unannounced and without permission.
But to his surprise, it wasn't Evans.
"What….? Where am I…?"
Davion froze for a second. Not just because of the voice or the person, but also at how every word seemed to come through suppressed pain.
She was crying.
The thoughts alone had him moving towards her immediately.
