Chapter 4 - Armaros Murmur - The Death Spirit of an Undying King

Height: 6'5" (196 cm)

Weight: 285 lbs (~129 kg) – A massive, muscular frame built for power, not agility.

Build: Broad shoulders, thick arms, and a solid torso that emphasizes sheer physical strength. His posture is rigid and disciplined, standing tall even in his ghostly form.

Armor: Always seen wearing heavy, battle-worn armor, primarily dark steel with faded gold accents. The armor is thick and layered, designed for close combat, offering substantial protection. The armor has seen many battles, with scratches and dents marking the surface. His helmet is a crown-like structure, damaged but still resembling regal authority.

Eyes:Faintly glowing embers in the eye sockets, symbolic of his deep sense of duty, even in death.

Personality:Brave and stoic, Armaros would face any enemy, no matter the odds. His tough exterior hides a noble heart, but the harshness of the world has dulled his ability to show mercy or softness. No mercy is shown to enemies, driven by the desire to protect others at all costs. Loyal to his allies, particularly Daeva and his son Agiel, although his stoic nature prevents him from expressing affection outwardly. The death of his humanity caused him to suppress his emotional side, hardened by the endless wars and tragedies.

Backstory

Armaros was once a human adventurer, rising to the role of guard within his village. He was called to defend against a powerful Demon King's attack on his village. The attack overwhelmed him, resulting in his death. However, a dark spell transformed him into a demon, along with the others in the village who fell victim to the Demon King's forces. He was then thrust into the Underground and became Cyhyraeth, a ghostly figure unable to interact with the physical world in the same way.

After the transformation, Armaros encountered Daeva, who had also been cursed, and Agiel, her son, now a demon. He took them in, offering protection and camaraderie. Shortly after, a young human girl, Charun, fell into the Underground, and he and Daeva decided to adopt her, giving her the demon name "Charun" to assimilate her into their new family. However, Armaros was unable to protect her from Murmur, and when Murmur came for him, he was slain. His body was experimented with, leaving behind only a shadow of his former self: Cyhyraeth, a death spirit bound to the Underground.

Abilities (as Cyhyraeth)

Immune to Physical Damage: As a ghost, Armaros cannot be harmed by physical attacks. Any offensive strike passes through him, making him effectively invulnerable.

Basic Combat Skills: While his body is now ethereal, his combat prowess remains intact. He can still engage in basic melee combat, using his ghostly strength to strike with powerful blows that can disrupt enemies, though his attacks do not physically damage.

Invisibility: Armaros can blend into shadows, becoming nearly invisible to others, making it hard for enemies to track him.

Spectral Presence: His mere presence induces fear in weaker beings, as he embodies death itself. This aura can instill feelings of dread or paralysis in those around him.

Ethereal Manipulation: His ghostly form allows him to manipulate the environment around him with minimal effort, shifting the terrain or pushing objects within the space he inhabits.

Protection of the Lost: Though no longer a living warrior, he can still instinctively protect the ones he cares for. This manifests as forceful protective actions, though he cannot physically intervene or directly harm others with his ghostly form.
