"You're such a heartless man," Medusa sighed softly, twirling a strand of hair between her slender fingers as her voice took on a wistful tone.
"Just a few nights ago, you were calling me 'little darling.' But now that you're holding another woman, it's back to calling me Medusa? How cold hearted."
"And to think I even treated you as my master!"
Yun Yun's expression didn't change, though her fingers tightened around her sword. Medusa was well known for her beauty, but it was her icy demeanor and ruthless actions that truly defined her.
Such seductive words were entirely out of character clearly meant to throw her off. Did Medusa think she would be shaken?
How naïve.
Lu Bu chuckled dryly, his tone mocking as he looked at Medusa. "Trying to play coy, Your Majesty? You've got the wrong persona."
"Jie…" Medusa's eyes flashed with irritation, though it was unclear whether it was due to her failed provocation or her sudden, inexplicable attempt to provoke in the first place.
Her face grew cold, her earlier teasing vanishing as she adopted an icy, regal demeanor.
"Hand it over, and I'll leave," Medusa said indifferently, extending her pale, delicate hand toward Lu Bu.
"What are you talking about?" Lu Bu frowned. "I've never taken anything from you. Are you mistaken?"
"The formula for the Soul Fusion Pill," Medusa snapped, her tone sharp. "Give it to me."
Lu Bu scoffed, his lips curling into a sneer. "You must be joking. When did that ever belong to you? Do you think I'm Xiao Yan, that I'd hand it over just because you demand it?"
Seeing the two glaring at each other, Yun Yun quietly relaxed. It seemed she had been overthinking earlier. Judging by their sharp exchange, there wasn't much between them after all.
"You're courting death!" Medusa's phoenix like eyes narrowed dangerously as a wave of killing intent surged from her. Seven colored Dou Qi coiled around her fingertips, exuding an icy, bone chilling aura.
"Jie…" Lu Bu took a step forward, unleashing his spiritual energy. His eyes blazed with the green flames of the Green Lotus Core Flame and the transparent Spiritual Flame, meeting her gaze without flinching.
Yun Yun rested her hand lightly on her sword, the wings of Dou Qi unfurling behind her. A soft breeze stirred the air as she prepared herself to intervene.
Meanwhile, elsewhere in Yun Lan Sect, Yun Shan let out a loud cry and sped toward them.
Medusa's expression shifted slightly. Even without Yun Shan or Yun Yun, Lu Bu alone equipped with unique flames and alchemical expertise was already challenging enough.
"Your Majesty, shall we talk like civilized people now?" Lu Bu asked, brushing off his sleeve as if dismissing her earlier threat.

"Let's talk tomorrow. I'll wait for you," she added with a teasing smile before flying off gracefully into the night.
Lu Bu opened his mouth to speak but slumped in defeat. "I was this close to kissing her! Damn that Medusa… I'll get her back for this someday!"
Shaking his head, he muttered, "Forget it. Time to refine the vengeful spirit…"
Spreading his Violet Cloud Wings, Lu Bu flew toward Yun Shan, who led him to the secret chamber. There, Lu Bu began the process of refining the vengeful spirit.
