Kakashi: "???"
When Kaze made his request, Kakashi was stunned—completely thrown off.
Had he misheard something?
Did Kaze actually just say he wanted all the ANBU to come at him at once?
How confident was this guy in his own strength?!
These ANBU operatives weren't ordinary shinobi—they specialized in intelligence gathering and assassination.
In terms of real combat ability, there was no way a mere deputy captain of the Konoha Police could compare.
Let alone all of them attacking at once.
Even Kakashi alone could easily take Kaze down.
Was this some kind of trick?
Was Kaze purposely setting himself up to lose, so he could hand over the bodies of Shisui and the Root agents without directly defying orders?
But even if that were the case…Why involve everyone?
In truth, it wasn't just Kakashi who was thrown off by Kaze's declaration.
All the ANBU behind him—and even the Uchiha of the Police Department—were wide-eyed in disbelief, staring at Kaze like he'd lost his mind.
That said, for the ANBU who had come with Kakashi, this wasn't necessarily a bad turn of events.
"Tch. Typical Uchiha—so obsessed with strength."
"But if the deputy captain insists… then it would be rude of us to refuse, wouldn't it?"
Two ANBU on either side of Kakashi were the first to speak up.
They had already grown impatient with the Uchiha's resistance.
Now that someone had proposed a clean way to settle things?
They welcomed it.
In the very next moment, the two exchanged a glance—then launched themselves at Kaze without hesitation.
One flanked left, the other right.
As they moved, they each dropped into a crouch, positioning their hands to draw the short swords sheathed across their backs.
Whoosh!
The blades hissed through the air, each cutting a silver crescent through the space between them.
One came with a horizontal slash, the other a vertical cleave.
Both aimed directly at Kaze.
"Stop!"
Kakashi hadn't expected his men to move so suddenly, and immediately shouted to halt them.
But he was already too late.
Kaze's body shifted to the left—his eyes snapping open.
In that moment, both pupils transformed.
His once-dark irises turned a vivid crimson, each blooming with three tomoe as the Sharingan fully activated.
With a sharp motion, Kaze reached out—
Clutching one of the incoming blades with his bare hand.
To be fair, these ANBU weren't sloppy.
Their angles were precise. Their timing, perfect.
Their speed and killing intent were absolutely top-tier.
If Kaze hadn't activated his three-tomoe Sharingan in time, he might not have even been able to see their movements, let alone react.
(T/N: Weakling.)
The moment Kaze grabbed the blade, he activated the Thunder Fruit's power.
Not only did his hand turn into lightning, becoming intangible to avoid any physical damage—
He also unleashed a visible burst of electricity that surged along the katana's metal edge.
"Lightning Release: Thunder Strike!"
The brilliant lightning instantly engulfed the ANBU ninja holding the blade.
A terrifying current shot into the man's body, electrocuting him from the inside out.
"Aaaaargh!"
The man screamed—instinctively, uncontrollably. The kind of scream that made your scalp tingle.
But Kaze's lightning wasn't just powerful—it had a magnetic, binding force.
It clung to the ninja like a live wire, locking him in place as Kaze held on.
Using the man's frozen posture as a pivot, Kaze launched himself into the air—body twisting sideways into a perfect horizontal line.
Then—both legs extended—
(T/N: Or you could just say dropkicked. Right?)
BAM!
He landed a full-force double kick right into the face of the second ANBU who had been mid-air slashing at him.
Not only did he dodge the vertical strike—
His kick shattered the man's mask on impact. Shards of it embedded themselves in his skin.
And his face—twisted grotesquely from the sheer force of the blow.
BOOM!
The second ANBU crashed to the ground like a kite with its strings cut, slamming into the dirt with a thud.
"Watch yourself, Kakashi."
Landing gracefully, Kaze called out—not to taunt, but as a matter-of-fact warning.
From the moment those two ANBU had attacked, the duel had already begun.
"Damn it…"
Kakashi snapped back to reality, immediately dropping into a battle-ready stance.
He knew better than anyone what the Sharingan was capable of.
Especially in the hands of someone who knew how to use it.
"Here he comes…"
As Kaze charged at him, Kakashi didn't reach for the sword on his back.
Instead, he pulled a kunai from the pouch on his thigh.
He'd calculated that, judging from Kaze's speed, the guy would strike before he could even finish drawing his sword.
There wouldn't be enough time.
But Kaze, seeing Kakashi's focused expression, just smiled—a sly, amused curve tugging at the edge of his lips.
"Shave!"
With that single word, Kaze stomped the ground, the explosive force shattering the earth beneath him.
And in the blink of an eye—
He vanished.
"What—he disappeared!?"
Kakashi's eyes went wide—wider than they'd ever been.
He had already activated his Sharingan the moment the fight began.
He hadn't even blinked once.
And yet—he still lost sight of Kaze.
This guy…
He's even faster than Shisui!
BOOM!BOOM!BOOM!
Three thunderous blasts erupted behind Kakashi, snapping him out of his thoughts.
He spun on his heel and turned toward the source of the sound.
Kaze's "Shave" technique hadn't just made him vanish from Kakashi's sight—
He had disappeared from everyone's vision, including all the ANBU present.
And since none of them had anticipated a real fight, they'd been standing close together.
So when Kaze threw out a punch laced with Thunder Strike, it was like bowling.
Each strike sent two or three ANBU flying through the air.
The booms Kakashi had heard just now had come from the lightning detonations of Kaze's attacks.
"This guy, Kaze…"
Kakashi raised a brow in disbelief.
Kaze didn't have any real grudges against these ANBU.
He wasn't killing them—he clearly held back every time he struck.
But every blow landed with surgical precision—on vital pressure points or nerves.
At best, the targets were left paralyzed. At worst, knocked out cold.
In no time at all, every ANBU who had been struck was down for the count—not a single one could get back up.
"Earth Style: Earth-Style Wall!"
Seeing that Kaze was already charging at the next target, Kakashi quickly formed hand seals and dropped into a crouch.
As soon as the final seal was made, he slammed both palms to the ground.
A large wall of stone, carved with dog-head statues, erupted from the earth—slamming down between Kaze and the remaining ANBU.
It was a last-ditch effort to separate them.
But just as Kakashi thought the wall would halt Kaze's advance—
Kaze calmly amped up the Thunder Fruit's output even further.
"Lightning Release: Just a Normal Punch."
His eyes sharpened. His fingers clenched into a tight fist.
And he drove that punch straight into the dog-head wall in front of him.
RRRRRUMBLE!!
With a deafening thunderclap, a bolt of lightning nearly a meter wide blasted from his hand—
Tearing clean through Kakashi's earthen wall.
And the shockwave from the explosion didn't stop there—
It launched the remaining three ANBU into the air like rag dolls.
Now, of the eleven ANBU who had come with Kakashi—
Not a single one was left standing.
Every one of them had been completely and utterly defeated.
The Uchiha clan members who had watched the entire battle unfold?
They were frozen in place, jaws practically hitting the floor.
They all knew ANBU were among the elite in the village.
Their strength was easily on par with standard jōnin.
And yet—
In under thirty seconds, Kaze had casually taken down eleven of them.
This kind of power gap—
Was downright absurd.
(T/N: Well I take it back, he is not a weakling. He is an absolute beast. Anyway hope you all enjoyed this chapter and the reworked fights.)
