After being struck yet again by Madara Uchiha's lightning-infused punch, Hashirama Senju was sent flying through the air. Finally, unable to endure further, he seized a fleeting opportunity to form a hand seal.
Suddenly, from the depths of the forest created by his Deep Forest Emergence, countless wooden tendrils shot out, wrapping around Hashirama in mid-air and pulling him down just in time to evade Madara's electrified fist.
Madara, having used his Lightning Movement Technique to flash into the air, swung his fist but hit nothing. Watching Hashirama descend, he landed gracefully atop the layers of massive trees.
Hashirama, now bruised and battered, was visibly enraged. With a furious roar, he quickly formed hand seals.
"Wood Release: Eternal Tree Tomb!"
A cacophony of cracking sounds filled the air as wooden tendrils erupted from the colossal trees surrounding Hashirama. Maintaining his Thunder God Mode, Madara stood enveloped in crackling electricity, observing the situation with wary eyes.
From the trees surrounding Hashirama, countless resilient wooden vines surged forward. These vines twisted and merged together, forming six massive, rope-like constructs that coiled toward Madara like constricting serpents.
Madara remained calm, raising his hand to unleash a barrage of sharp lightning strikes against the incoming wooden tendrils.
To his surprise, even several concentrated bolts of lightning only managed to scorch small patches of bark on the six massive vines.
"I didn't expect this jutsu to be so resilient," Madara muttered to himself.
Before he could react further, the six massive vines lashed out like giant pythons, attempting to entangle and crush him. Even the lightning aura surrounding Madara in his Thunder God Mode couldn't fend off the relentless assault.
With no other choice, Madara activated his Lightning Movement Technique once more, transforming into a streak of blue lightning to evade the attack.
However, the wooden tendrils were not only powerful but also highly agile under Hashirama's control. They maneuvered from different directions, relentlessly intercepting Madara as he darted around in his lightning form.
"Hashirama! Are you angry now? But to me, these are merely trivial tricks! Chidori Blade!"
A deafening roar of electricity engulfed Madara's body, concentrating in his right arm. Half of his body was soon encased in a massive Chidori, forming an enormous blade of lightning that extended along his entire right arm.
Madara laughed maniacally as he stopped evading and stood his ground. Swinging the colossal lightning blade with overwhelming force, he cleaved through the incoming wooden tendrils, shattering them into splinters.
Meanwhile, Hashirama's earlier injuries had already healed thanks to his immense vitality. Watching Madara wield his lightning blade with such devastating power, Hashirama furrowed his brow.
Could it be that his prized technique was being shattered so effortlessly by Madara?
Then again, this was Madara Uchiha after all.
On the sidelines, Tobirama Senju grew increasingly concerned.
Though the battle appeared evenly matched at first glance—with both combatants unleashing awe-inspiring techniques—there was one glaring fact:
Madara had yet to use his Sharingan or Mangekyō Sharingan!
At present, Madara was already matching Hashirama blow for blow using only his Lightning Release techniques. What would happen when he finally activated his bloodline limit?
Tobirama had a sinking feeling that sooner or later, he'd have to step in to assist his older brother.
As Tobirama contemplated this, Madara continued his assault, slicing through five of the six massive wooden tendrils with his Chidori Blade. Only one remained.
The final tendril seemed to coil back like a spring, gathering immense elastic force before surging forward with explosive speed toward Madara.
Madara grinned, raising his lightning blade without hesitation. Instead of retreating, he charged head-on, meeting the incoming tendril with a ferocious downward swing.
The Chidori Blade tore through the wooden tendril like a hot knife through butter. Wherever the blade passed, the vine exploded into fragments.
Having broken through the last obstacle, Madara closed the distance between himself and Hashirama. With blinding speed and raw power, he thrust the electrified blade directly toward Hashirama's head.
Hashirama narrowed his eyes slightly, extending his right hand. Several extraordinarily sturdy wooden spikes erupted from the ground behind him, wrapping around his arm and forming a massive wooden spiral spear. He thrust it forward to meet Madara's attack head-on.
Lightning clashed with wood in a cataclysmic explosion!
The overwhelming force of Madara's Chidori Blade shattered the tip of the wooden spear, driving deeper toward Hashirama's skull...
The supporting pillars of the wooden spear creaked ominously under the strain...
Ultimately, the Chidori Blade failed to fully penetrate the wooden spear. As Madara's arm pushed halfway through, the unyielding wood began absorbing his chakra—a unique property of Hashirama's Wood Release. The lightning surrounding Madara was siphoned away, forcibly dispelling his Thunder God Mode.
In an instant, Madara came to a halt mere inches from Hashirama.
The two locked eyes, neither speaking a word...
Hashirama shifted his stance slightly, causing countless wooden spikes to erupt from the ground below. They shot toward Madara from all directions at incredible speed.
The distance was too close for Madara to escape, as his hand was still trapped within the remnants of the wooden spear.
Even Tobirama, watching from afar, widened his eyes in anticipation. Without the protective aura of lightning, it seemed Madara's fate was sealed—he would be impaled like a pincushion.
Madara smirked faintly. Suddenly, a vast reservoir of natural energy surged within him, transforming into wind-natured chakra.
Swish! Swish! Swish!
Several translucent wind blades erupted from Madara's body, instantly severing the incoming wooden spikes.
Smiling faintly, Madara uttered three words:
"Rasengan!"
The hand trapped in the remnants of the wooden spear instantly condensed wind-natured chakra. Through precise control, a tightly compressed sphere of pure wind chakra materialized in the palm of his hand—the Rasengan!
To Hashirama's astonishment, the Rasengan obliterated the remaining wooden spear in an instant. Before he could react, Madara slammed the spiraling sphere directly into Hashirama's abdomen.
Hashirama felt a searing pain as if his stomach had been pierced clean through...
