After I was done eating, the queen who later told me her name was Sage told me to retire early for the night as I had a huge task ahead of me.
I didn't understand what she meant but I still did as she asked. Only that I couldn't sleep, I tried as much as I could but my eyes were still wide open with no promise of sleep.
I groaned tiredly and climbed down my bed. I almost jumped out of my skin when I opened my door and saw Indie standing outside. "What are you doing here?" I asked and rubbed my face like I had been sleeping.
"To guard you coven sovereign." She replied and curtsied.
"I don't understand." I closed the door behind me and fully stepped outside. "You don't sleep or what? Why will you guard me just to please me, in the process you displeased yourself?"
She shook her head. "I wasn't trying to please you, I was only following orders."
