Serena, Sukuna and Runo were all confused after hearing what Luck had said to them "Huh?...", Luck repeated herself with a faint smile"I said Tobi, Kazui and I weren't on earth fighting dragons. You mean to tell me that while we....I mean *WE* were fighting for our lives on earth, you and the two boys of your group were having a mere *TEST* in another dimension?". Luck replied with her faint smile turning Into that of a nervous one "Um... is there a problem?..". Runo, Serena and Sukuna immediately ran out of the restaurant and accross the city streets all the way to Veronica's office. As Veronica was taking a look at some paper work, Serena, Sukuna and Runo barraged in "LORD VERONICAAAA!!!!!", Veronica turned to them and asked with a smile "Oh, hey girls. How are you?". Serena, Sukuna and Runo all rushed to her table and slammed their hands on it "WHILE WE WERE FIGHTING FOR OUR LIVES, YOU WERE LETTING THE BLACK FIRE KICK OFF WITH SOME GODDAMN SHIKIGAMI?!", they all yelled. Veronica with her smile replied, fingers interlocked "Why that's exactly right.", the girls scremed "WHAT THE FUCK?!". They went as on to rant "IF THAT WERE THE CASE, WHY DIDN'T YOU TAKE US WITH YOU?! MATTER OF FACT, WHY DIDN'T YOU JUST USE YOUR SHIKIGAMI ARMY TO TAKE CARE OF THE ARMY OF DRAGONS?!". Veronica replied "Well, if I had interfered, then non of you would have been able to surpass your limits.", this statement from Veronica got the three girls confused. Veronica proceeded to explain "You three did an outstanding job in you individual battles, I watched it all. I even got it on tape. Hopefully we will document the battle you had in the history books.". She turned to Runo "Runo, your use of your weapon summoning abilities was excellent. Your control over the battlefield and how you use all your abilities at once was good. But make sure not to play all your cards right of the bat.". Veronica turned to Serena "Serena, your movements are much more forcefully and stronger. Your speed had increased as well, you physically strength is incredible, and your mastery over you electricity based abilities are better than what I expected. To top it all off, your flexibility is still as flawless.", Serena started to feel shy "Um, thank you Lord Veronica.". Veronica turned to Sukuna with a pleasant smile "And as for you, Sukuna. You were excellent.", Sukuna felt her heart skip a beat "Huh?", she silently gasped. Veronica proceeded to explain "Your speed has grown sharper and more deadlier. Your movements are almost as fluid as that of Serena's. And your sword skills? The way you held your own in a sword clash against Valkary? You were unbelievable.". Veronica smiled at them "As your teacher, lord and elder sister figure, I'm proud of you all.". The three girls felt heart warmed, Sukuna asked herself "Why's my heart throbbing? I'm used to being complimented by my parents and people around me, but still, why do I feel that this one is just..... different?". Serena asked herself as her face was slowly turning beat red "Huh? What is this? She complimented us?Why do I feel so happy about it? It's not like as if I've never been complimented before.", Runo on the other hand had the same feeling as them, but she was more controlled about it. Runo covered her mouth, hiding her small blush, her face was a bit serious underneath her hand "Wow, am I.... blushing? The only time I've ever blushed was when I'm around Deo, or when Mori is teasing me about Deo. Other from that, and the fact that my parents tease me alot, I don't blush.". Runo turned to Veronica and thought to herself "Is this what it feels like to have an elder sibling compliment you?". Veronica told the girls "I'm a bit busy, so I'll talk to you girls later.", Serena, Sukuna and Runo all replied while feeling the after effect of their blush "Yeah.". As they were walking on the streets, they thought to themselves "What was that random feeling just now?". Meanwhile, Diablo was staring at the city scape from the window of Veronica's office, Veronica asked him "You okay?", Diablo replied "Nah, I'm doing just fine.". The couple kept quiet for a few moments, Veronica asked after arranging her paper work "You still feeling the effect of that whole ass dragon war?", Diablo sighed and waved his hand "Nah, I don't care about that. All these wars and fighting aren't my concern.". Veronica scoffed with a smile "Hm, you've always been like this. Even as kids, if you didn't have to get involved in something, you wouldn't have too.", Diablo clicked his tounge "Tch, don't bring up our past. Back then, missions were almost unavoidable. Kojin would make us do some unnecessary training in the forest. All that for him just to send us against a crazy group of criminals, we saw other assassins who were our age get killed. We experienced wars right in our own city. It was so damn annoying to the point that I wished I had the ability to make it all end.". Veronica asked him "You have the ability to end it all now. Don't you? I mean, now that you have a better understanding of how your powers work, and what you can do with them, you can just snap your finger and make it all dissappear. Can't you?". Diablo just sighed "That's not how it works at all. I mean, I can do it. There's just one problem, it's the fact that this world was built for challenges. I've tried multiple times to erase suffering and war, but still, it's not something I cant do, it's something i shouldn't do. It's like destroying the plot of a story you worked so hard to make. Its agonising". Veronica just smiled softly "I see, well if that were the case, I guess the world is better off with us as the overseer rather than the one's to fix it.". At the other side of the city, Raquel was in her own house, her room was dark, and she seemed to be fast asleep on her bed.
