...

"Impossible, a human doesn't have the ability to transform into monsters, and much less dodge my attacks! Who are you?!" – Kurt said shocked.

"Me? I'm just the one who will crush you, you don't need to know more!" – I exclaimed.

Or so I wanted to do, but I could only roar. Wildmutt, the alien I casually transformed into, had no eyes, but thanks to his "gills" located on both sides of his head, he could perfectly see everything around him, that's why no matter how fast Kurt moved, with Wildmutt's speed and reflexes it would be impossible for him to land a punch on me. Was it a stroke of luck to transform into this random alien? Maybe.

"Rawr!" – I said.

I wanted to say, "Get ready!" but as long as I'm transformed into Wildmutt I can't speak, only growl like an animal.

"Shit, don't think that by dodging me once you're going to beat me!" – Kurt said angrily.

Then he grabbed another knife and, using his maximum speed, charged at Akira once more. However, thanks to Wildmutt's heightened senses and lightning-fast reflexes, Kurt's attack was effortlessly dodged again. And if that wasn't surprising enough, Akira retaliated—slashing with his claws and landing a powerful blow that sent Kurt flying.

"Shit! My armor was pierced!" - Kurt shouted in disbelief. "What the hell are those claws made of?!"

His armor was forged from a specialized alloy designed to withstand both cutting and blunt-force trauma. And yet, the claws of that "human" had torn through it as if it were paper.

"Shit, I have no choice!" – Kurt exclaimed.

He then turned toward the two girls, planning to use them to threaten Akira once more. It was his only chance now. If he could force Akira into hesitation—back into his human form—he could use their bodies as shields and finally complete his mission by killing him.

But what he didn't expect… was that the girls were no longer where he had left them.

Instead, they were now beside Yami, who was calmly untying them.

"Shit!" - Kurt cursed, eyes widening.

He had completely forgotten about that damn Konjiki no Yami. And now, his last advantage—his hostages—was gone.

{Note: he's simply an idiot}

"Rwar!" – Akira exclaimed.

He meant: "Now that you have no hostages left, I'll beat you up!" And yes, with that roar alone he said all that.

"The truth is, you might be fast… but you're definitely stupid" Yami said coldly as she finished untying the girls. "Who the hell lets me tag along? You should've made it a condition that Akira came alone. My God, what a pathetic excuse of an assassin."

Kurt's eye twitched as her words hit like daggers.

Konjiki no Yami… that damn opportunistic, smug bitch! She was right. He should've demanded Akira come alone. If he had, he'd still have two perfect hostages—leverage to turn the tide. But now?

Now he had nothing.

And he had a monster glaring him down.

{Note: Did you see what I said? He's an idiot}

"Rawr!" – I exclaimed.

And in a quick movement I headed towards Kurt, however, despite being an idiot, Kurt was quite fast and was able to dodge my attack with ease. Wildmutt could dodge all his moves, but his agility was inferior to Kurt's.

"Haha, you can dodge my attacks, but you're definitely slower than me!" – Kurt said with a smile.

Then he took out some sort of controller from his cloak.

"You can't use that device again. I've found it to be a short-distance teleportation device. Where do you plan to flee? If you think that hiding in this building can help you, it's impossible, now that you've done what you've done, I won't let you escape and I'll find you" – Yami said with a piercing look.

"Rawr rawr (besides, with my powerful nose I could find you very easily)!" – I said.

"Silly, I don't mean to teleport!" – Kurt said.

Then he pressed the button and small thrusters came out of his shoes that quickly propelled him into the air at a high speed.

"XZ40 engines, the best on the market! Even with your speed you won't be able to reach me, Konjiki no Yami!" – Kurt laughed as he sped away.

"Rwar (but I do)!" – I exclaimed.

Then, I tapped the Omnitrix icon on my arm and transformed into Jetray.

"Take care of the girls" – I said to Yami.

"Of course" – Yami nodded.

Haruna and Yui, despite being free of any ties that restricted their freedom, were still trembling and not knowing what to do, they did not understand anything of what was happening and their brains could not believe that this was real.

"Okay, let's catch that son of a bitch" – I said with a smile.

Then, at an impressive speed I shot off in the direction Kurt went. Those thrusters may have been the best on the market and gave their user incredible speed, but in front of Jetray, that speed was a joke and I soon caught up with Kurt.

"It can't be! What kind of monster are you?!" – Kurt exclaimed.

Its thrusters were the best on the market and not even Konjiki no Yami could reach that speed! How could that monster in front of him catch up with him despite all the advantage he was carrying!?

"The monster you shouldn't have gotten involved with!" – I exclaimed.

Then, I used Jetray's attack and pinned Kurt down. He was completely paralyzed and unconscious by the attack, but before he fell to the ground, I held him down preventing his fall.

"And now what do I do with this?" – I asked myself.

But just then, I realized that I was in a forest very familiar to me.

"This is the forest where Zastin has his spaceship. Is it possible that this guy parked his here too?" – I wondered.

If that's the case: Why does everyone park their ships here? What is this forest, a spaceship parking lot or what?

"Anyway, since I'm here and the girls are safe, I can hand this guy over to Zastin. He'll know what to do" – I said.

Luckily, the place where I was was was the beginning of the forest and thanks to my good memory, I was able to find Zastin's spaceship right away, the problem was that it was invisible and I couldn't see it anywhere and I couldn't locate it anywhere.

But either by luck or Zastin's keen senses, the previously invisible spaceship became visible to Akira's eyes not long after and Zastin could immediately be seen exiting the ship.

The truth is that the locator of his spaceship had warned him that there were two humanoid life forms near his spaceship, so Zastin went out to investigate. When Zastin saw the flying monster and the man it was carrying with its claws, he frowned and put himself on his guard, but the moment he saw a green clock symbol on the creature's chest, his expression relaxed.

"Good evening, Akira-sama. Do you need something?" – Zastin asked.

"How did you recognize me?" – I asked as I threw Kurt to the ground.

Then, I tapped the Omnitrix icon and returned to my human form.

"The mark on your chest was the same as the one on your watch, so I could recognize that it was you" - Zastin said.

True, I should have known instead of asking such a stupid question.

"I see" – I nodded.

"Excuse me, Akira-sama. Who is this man?" – Zastin asked while pointing to Kurt who was lying fainting on the ground.

"Yami called him... Kurt, the silent assassin" – I answered.

At that moment, Zastin's expression changed completely, from an extremely calm one to an angry look.

"Kurt the silent killer, the one who ranks number 20 on the list of assassins?" – Zastin asked seriously.

"That's right. This guy kidnapped my friends and threatened me with them. Luckily, Yami rescued my friends and then I beat him until he was unconscious" – I explained.

"Yami?" – Zastin asked.

"… Konjiki no Yami" – I said.

At that moment, Zastin's expression became even more serious and a murderous aura radiated from his body.

"Konjiki no Yami? The one who is number 4 on the list of murderers?" – Zastin asked with a solemn face.

"That's right, although now her name is Yami" – I nodded.

Hearing the future king's words, Zastin realized something. Konjiki no Yami would never have allowed anyone to call her like that. In fact, she was an intolerant person who got angry easily, especially with men, and who did not maintain intimate contact with anyone. Lonely, cold and unfeeling personality, Konjiki no Yami was one of the most powerful assassins and beings in the entire galaxy, but her future king had just said one very important thing.

"Excuse me. Do you say that Yami-sama helped you? Didn't she wants to kill you?" – Zastin asked surprised.

"She wanted to, but I convinced her to leave that life and now she is a normal school student" – I replied.

Normal student? Konjiki no Yami? An assassin without feelings? Zastin almost screams in surprise. How was Akira able to convince her to leave that life as an assassin? Zastin was extremely surprised and delighted with the abilities of his future king.

"Akira-sama. Although Yami-sama is no longer an assassin, she has committed dozens of proven crimes and faces dozens and dozens of crimes. If His Majesty finds out about this, I will have no choice but to capture her" - Zastin said.

"I know, but... I think you know the way to have all their crimes forgiven. Right?" – I asked.

Zastin nodded.

"Of course, and I guess Yami-sama also knows it and still accepted. Understood, I will contact His Majesty right away and explain everything what happened" - Zastin said.

Yami was no fool.

She knew exactly what it meant to abandon her life as an assassin. All the confirmed crimes on her record would come crashing down on her, enough to earn a lifetime behind bars—or even a death sentence on some planets. But despite that, she had chosen to stop. That alone meant one thing:

She knew she would be pardoned. She had accepted Akira—not just as an ally, but as her future. In short, she had accepted becoming his concubine.

There was no other explanation.

"Akira-sama" Zastin said with a crisp, formal tone, "I will report to His Majesty not only about this failed assassin, but also about your relationship with Yami-sama. Please formalize it as soon as possible."

His words were serious, but not without weight. Yami might have accepted everything that came with her decision… but if the heir himself hadn't officially recognized their relationship, it was still a diplomatic problem.

"Understood. I think it'll happen soon" - I replied calmly.

Truth be told, I was already planning it. Just one more step and Yami would be mine, completely. I'd been turning over the idea in my mind—how best to make it happen. Maybe a date. Something quiet, away from everything. A moment where I could speak honestly and give her what she deserved.

Though… romantic settings didn't seem to suit Yami's tastes. I might need to think of something a bit different. Something genuine. But either way, the moment when she becomes my wife feels close—closer than anyone thinks.

"Regardless" Zastin continued, "I will inform His Majesty that Yami-sama is to become your concubine"

Concubine? Wait a minute.

"Zastin. What do you mean by concubine? I want Yami to be my second wife" – I said.

"Akira-sama... I'm afraid that can't be" – Zastin denied.

"Why?" – I asked curiously.

"The whole galaxy knows Yami-sama's identity and what she looks like. If they learn that a former assassin has become a primary wife... it could create certain problems" - Zastin said.

After all, Yami was a former assassin. Can you imagine the opinion of those intelligent people when they know that a former assassin would be the second wife of the future King? Can you imagine all the stir that would cause? Many people already had their opinion about how unfair it was that just for becoming part of the royal family they were forgiven for all their crimes instead of judging them as the criminals they are. Can you imagine how many protests that information would cause?

Looking at Zastin I wanted to ask, but it was late and it had been several minutes since I left the girls alone and I think it was time to go back. After all, the day is not over yet and now I have to tell the girls what happened, which was going to be quite complicated.
