Chapter 35: Certain someone
The primordial watched in silence as Arora struggled to grasp her new reality.
She was dead.
She didn't remember how it happened. She also couldn't remember why or who did it.
No matter how hard she tried to recall, her mind remained blank. It was as though a wall separated her from her last 24 hours on Earth. Tears spilled freely from her eyes, against her will. It was as though the memories were so terrible that her body responded automatically despite her not remembering.
Several moments passed in tense silence.
She looked back at the boy that referred to himself as a Primordial entity.
"So... I'm really dead." she asked, her voice trembling.
The Primordial remained silent for a few moments.
{๐ผ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐. ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐}
Arora stared into the distance with a vacant expression as she removed her glasses with trembling hands.
Fresh tears streamed down her face. This time, entirely of her own doing.
....
....
....
"T-that's not fair." The words barely escaped her lips as she felt her "heart" ache. It felt like the emotions she had repressed for so long were finally tired of being silenced.
"That's not fair..."
"That's not fair!"
That's not fair!!" she screamed, her fists clenching tightly.
"W-hy me?, why is it always me?..." She asked as she felt her throat closing up..
"I never get anything."
"I never got parents who loved me enough to keep me."
"I never made any friends because I wouldn't bend to their requests."
" I didn't get gifts or well wishes for my birthday because almost no one cared."
"I never got adopted because no one wanted a child like me!" She continued, her voice strained.
"And.... now" she said faintly.
"I don't even get to keep my life."
She sank to her knees, her body folding in on itself.
"It's not fair, it's just not fair. I want to live, I want to experience everything I never could before. Everything I always dreamt of. I want to visit my best friend at the North Pole, I want to eventually fall in love and have a family.... I want to have parents that love me."
She looked up at the Primordial, her face streaked with tears.
"IโI just wanted to live," she said in an indignant tone. "Is that so hard to ask for...?"
The Primordial slowly rose to his feet and approached her.

Arora's eyes widened with a glimmer of hope.
"What?. You can do that? Do... You really mean it?" She asked hesitantly, scared she was being deceived.
" are you a.... god?"

The boy paced around Arora as she slowly rose to her feet, wiping away her tears.
"Special?" she repeated with a weary expression. "What do you mean by that? There's nothing special about me."

The Primordial's voice softened slightly.

Arora remained silent, her mind struggling to process his words. She didn't exactly know what to think about how special this entity seemed to think she was. Most of that didn't really matter to her.
Her thoughts returned to her life so far. It was a sad existence filled with nothing but sorrow and loss. She wondered how she could die so easily if her lifeforce was truly as "vast" as the Primordial claimed it was.
More than anything, she wanted to know what happened to her and how she died.
She didn't think she could live peacefully in this new life without knowing that.
"Thank you..." she finally said, her voice still strained. "For the chance you're giving me. Truly thank you." She hesitated before continuing, "I was just wondering if you could als-"
{๐ต๐} The Primordial interrupted, already knowing what she wanted.
{๐ฐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐.} The primordial stated simply as he turned away.
{๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ ๐๐๐๐}

Arora simply sighed dejectedly.
"Alright then, I suppose you're right, umm Mr Primordial." She said awkwardly.
She was beginning to come to terms with her situation, though the reality of it still felt surreal. Her heart ached as she remembered the people she'd never be able to see or talk to again. She would miss her best friend Santa Claus and Mr Raymond most of all. She felt a dull pain at the thought of the orphanage and the other children, despite her complicated feelings toward them.
"Is there anything you want me to do for you?" she asked cautiously. "From my experience, most people don't just give others something so easily, unless you're under their care."
The primordial remained quiet for a moment, as if pondering something.
{๐๐๐} he finally responded.
{๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐ ๐ ๐๐๐ ๐๐.}
Arora sighed, a bit disappointed that she was right. Still, she couldn't complain too much. A second life was more than fair payment for whatever he wanted her to do.

{๐ฐ ๐ ๐ ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐๐ ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐.}
Arora stared at the boy with a stunned expression as tears began welling up in her eyes once more. This time being tears of gratitude.
"Tโthank you.... Thank you so much" Arora said with a grateful expression as she bowed deeply.
{๐ป๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐.} The Primordial continued.
{๐ถ๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐ฐ'๐ ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐๐ ๐ ๐ ๐๐๐ ๐๐ ๐ ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐}
Arora straightened immediately, her bright orange eyes gleaming in anticipation.
"What is it!?, I'll do anything!"
Suddenly, she felt as though a smile spread across The primordial's face, despite being unable to see his features.
