Chapter 75 - A JOURNEY FOR TWO: THE PRIVATE ESCAPE

The palace was wrapped in peaceful silence.

For the first time in years, no urgent calls.

No wars.

No last-minute meetings.

No tension in the air.

Just… silence.

Sunlight filtered through the curtains, casting a golden glow over the room.

On the massive bed, Mirshad lay perfectly still, his head resting against Sophia's lap.

Her fingers absentmindedly brushed through his hair as she watched him sleep—peaceful, calm, unbothered.

His breathing was steady, his face… unbelievably soft.

Sophia had never seen him like this.

Not as Boss.

Not as MRD.

But just… Mirshad.

And she loved it.

She gently whispered, "You look so human when you sleep."

A slight smirk curled at his lips, his eyes still closed.

"Are you saying I don't look human when I'm awake?"

Sophia jumped slightly.

"You were awake?!"

Mirshad slowly opened his eyes, staring at her with those deep, hypnotic eyes.

"How can I sleep when the most beautiful woman in the world is watching me?"

Sophia blushed.

"You and your smooth words…"

Mirshad just smirked.

"You love it."

She rolled her eyes but didn't deny it.

Sophia leaned against the headboard, playing with Mirshad's hair.

"So, what now?"

Mirshad closed his eyes again, stretching lazily.

"I want to rest. Just for a little while. Finally, everything is done."

She smiled softly.

"You deserve it."

Then—

BANG!

The door slammed open.

"BROTHER, WAKE UP!"

Mirshad did not react.

Sophia jumped, startled.

She turned her head so fast, she almost snapped her neck.

Standing there were Malik and Amir, grinning like idiots.

Sophia groaned, "Seriously?!"

Mirshad still did not move.

He simply raised his hand, grabbed a pillow, and without even looking—threw it straight at Malik's face.

Malik dodged.

Amir caught it.

"Damn, even half-asleep, your aim is still crazy."

Mirshad sighed, rubbing his temples.

"What do you two want?"

Amir grinned.

"It's time for your surprise."

Sophia raised an eyebrow.

"Surprise?"

At that moment, Rayyan and Faisal entered, arms crossed, smiling knowingly.

Faisal patted Mirshad's shoulder.

"Son, today, you're officially off duty."

Mirshad blinked.

"What?"

Jabir walked in next, nodding.

"You heard him. No meetings, no work, no enemies to hunt. Just you and Sophia—away from all of us."

Sophia froze.

"Wait… what?"

Rayyan smirked.

"We're sending you both on a private vacation. A LONG one."

Mirshad sat up fully, now awake.

"Are you all serious?"

Faisal nodded.

"Son, you fought wars. Took over the world. Haven't slept properly in years. It's time to live for yourself."

Jabir grinned.

"And let's be honest, we've ALL been watching you two. You and Sophia need time. Alone."

Sophia turned red.

"W-Wait… are you guys kicking us out?"

Malik smirked.

"Not kicking you out… just strongly encouraging."

Amir winked.

"We already packed your bags. The jet is waiting."

Mirshad stared at them.

"You're all serious about this?"

Faisal smiled.

"For once, son… let yourself be happy."

hour's later, Mirshad and Sophia stood near the private jet.

The entire MRD family had gathered to see them off.

Sara hugged Sophia.

"Don't worry about anything. Just enjoy your time together."

Rayyan grinned.

"Brother, just one request—don't start another war on vacation, please."

Amir chuckled.

"Yeah, and if you do… at least wait until you come back."

Jabir smirked.

"Or better… send us the location so we can join."

Mirshad sighed.

"You idiots… I'm literally going to relax."

Malik smirked.

"Sure, sure. But just in case… if you start missing us, send a signal."

Mirshad raised an eyebrow.

"What signal?"

Malik's grin widened.

"A small earthquake will do."

Everyone burst into laughter.

Sophia rolled her eyes but smiled.

"I swear, you all are crazy."

Mirshad stepped forward, his eyes filled with warmth.

"Brothers… take care of everything."

Faisal nodded.

"And you take care of her."

Mirshad glanced at Sophia—his queen, his world.

He gently took her hand.

"Always."

With that, they boarded the jet.

As the doors closed, the MRD family watched them disappear into the skies.

A new journey had begun—one of love, peace… and a little bit of chaos.

Because wherever Mirshad goes… trouble always follows.
