Even though he wanted to call as soon as possible, it was still a bit too early.
He collapsed onto his bed and fell asleep—but not before setting his fallen ones on standby, just in case anything happened so they could protect his family.
It didn't take long before he woke up with sunlight shining on his face. He looked at the clock, picked up his phone, and made a call.
"Oh? Daniel, is something wrong? Why are you calling?" An old man's voice came from the other end of the line.
"Hello, Mr. August. Actually, something's come up, and I wanted to ask for your help," Daniel replied, then explained his problem.
Of course, he didn't mention the Goblin Guild and decided to hide that part for now. Besides, even if he said anything, August wouldn't be able to do anything about it.
"What? A few assassins tried to kill you? But why?"
"I don't know either. Unfortunately, before I could ask any more questions, the assassin blew himself up."
