Ariel was a grown woman, she knew that marriage was not all sunshine and roses. Despite her parents having fallen madly in love and getting married she knew that like any other couple they'd had their up and downs. Everybody went through those that was just life.
That being said, Ariel had to admit that there had always been a tiny part of her the part that believed in fairy tales, and magic. Had always believed that somehow if she ever got the chance to get married, her marriage would be different.
The whimsical side of herself, the side that Ariel would deny existed even under the pain of torture, had often imagined what it would be like to be married. She had thought that it would be this wonderful thing. Kisses in the morning just because they could. Dances in the moonlight.
