"Ah—!"
Her body split cleanly in half, blood and organs bursting into the air like a grotesque firework. Jibril let out a screech of pain, unable to take flight again.
But even as she plummeted through the sky, she didn't give in. No surrender. No hesitation.
With blood streaming from her lips, she shoved a fairy bean into her mouth, her body knitting itself back together mid-fall.
This was no longer a fight of strength or technique.
At the beginning of the battle, Daemon had asked her, "How many fairy beans do you have left?"
She'd returned the favor, eyeing him with a grin. "And how much stamina do you have left in that body of yours?"
From that moment on, the duel changed. No longer a simple clash of blades and magic, but a test of endurance—of who could outlast the other. Who would break first.
Jibril, laughing even as blood trailed behind her, shouted mid-air,
"I've got a hundred beans left! And you, Mr. Daemon, I heard your stamina's… lacking?"
Still falling, still bleeding from a fatal wound, she managed a smirk that ignited Daemon's fury.
He scoffed. "Tch... Want to test my staying power?"
There are few things a man despises more than being mocked for his endurance—Daemon was no exception.
"Then let me show you just how terrifying an enhanced sage body can be. I'll let your body feel it firsthand!"
He raised his golden blade.
"God Avoid—!"
With a roar, he swung down with ferocious speed. Golden sword lights rained from the sky, each one tearing through space and time, crashing toward Jibril.
Slash. Slash. Slash.
Dozens—no, hundreds—of strikes. The air split with each swing, each blade a divine executioner's verdict.
Jibril's eyes widened. "Wha—?! He can use God Avoid consecutively?! Isn't that broken!?"
It was indeed absurd. That was the fatal flaw—or rather, the hax—of Daemon's Noble Phantasm.
As long as he had the physical energy to spare, he could unleash its power repeatedly without cooldown.
And thanks to his reinforced sage body, which absorbed natural energy with every breath, he never ran out.
"Sneer—!!"
Another wave of golden blades tore through the sky.
"Aaaaaahhh—!!"
Even hiding in other dimensions wasn't enough. The blades sliced through everything—reality, illusion, space.
Jibril's body was ripped apart again and again. Sometimes she was split cleanly in half.
Sometimes she was diced into dozens of twitching pieces. Yet she refused to die.
Each time, a bean. Each time, resurrection.
This cycle repeated thirty-five times.
The sea below turned into a crimson lake. Blood and viscera rained like a monsoon.
Jibril's organs scattered through the air like fallen leaves in autumn.
But Daemon didn't stop. He wasn't even close to done.
Another storm of God Avoid crashed down.
The battlefield looked less like a fight and more like a butcher's hell.
In the Chat Group:
Miyuki Uchiha: "This is... beyond insane."
Esdeath: "Even I—who revels in slaughter—felt a shiver. She's not just in pain. She's dying, over and over again."
Utaha Kasumigaoka: "Even Mangekyō Sharingan can't keep up with that speed... How many times has she almost died?"
Yamamoto Mei: "Utaha, you have the Eternal Mangekyō. If you can't see it clearly..."
Utaha: "Huh...? Mei, you're definitely stronger than me... right?"
Saitama: "In under a second, Daemon unleashed 63 God Avoid. Many hit at once because the activation speed overlapped."
Saitama: "Jibril only needed to eat beans 35 times to recover from all the damage."
Esdeath: "You counted that...? No wonder they call you One Punch Man."
Miyuki: "Wait. So... Jibril died 35 times in one second!?"
Luo Hao: "Daemon's earlier fights must've been warm-ups. He's terrifying."
Esdeath: "I want to defeat that man... and then trample him beneath my heel! I want to see his pride shatter as he licks my boots! That would be satisfying!"
Erina Nakiri: "S-Sister Esdeath...!? What are you even saying!?"
Shinobu Kocho: "... What kind of fetish is that? Is this... normal in other worlds?"
Miyuki: "Looks like the sadist queen's finally snapped. His Highness Daemon broke her."
Utaha: "Heh—Ice Princess, you don't even need to fight him. Just say the word, and Daemon would lick your feet gladly."
Sakura Tosaka: "...Why do I feel like you're mad, Sister Utaha?"
Miyuki: "She's jealous. Her man's being targeted."
Luo Hao: "But she's not wrong. With Daemon's lust... that might not even be a punishment—it might be a reward."
Even as the group chat descended into chaos, everyone acknowledged one thing:
Jibril was insane.
She wasn't like Utaha, who had the Twelve Trials to protect her from permanent death.
Jibril was gambling with real stakes. One misplaced slash—one critical blow to the core of the Flugel—and she'd be gone.
No resurrection.
No second chance.
Yet she didn't care.
This beautiful, battle-hungry creature treated her life with the same disdain she treated others'.
There was a nobility in it—a brutal, pure, and almost divine form of warrior's pride.
Daemon could see it too. And he respected it.
"We, the Flugel, were born to kill gods. Born for battle. We die for battle!"
Still unable to fly, Jibril forced her half-healed body into position and roared from below, eyes glowing.
"Heaven's Strike—!"
Another full-powered attack surged upward like a meteor, roaring toward Daemon.
She knew it wouldn't work.
In her grounded state, long-range was her only option. But it was futile. Her instincts told her this man was beyond it all.
Daemon didn't dodge.
He grinned.
"That's right... don't give up."
He raised his right hand slowly.
"Let me repay your courage... with destruction."
"Crackle—!!"
A pitch-black thunderbolt surged in his palm, condensing into a spear wrapped in coiling lightning. Thunder roared, spiraling around him like a coiled dragon.
He began to chant:
"Tear the heavens."
"Shatter the stars."
"All that exists under the sky belongs to me."
"I rule all that shines in the night."
With each line, the thunder grew louder, the spear brighter.
Finally, he bellowed:
"I am the thunder that tears the stars—!!"
"BOOM—!!"
The roar of the heavens tore through both sea and sky.
Black lightning raged like a downpour, hammering the clouds into dust and splitting the world open with divine fury.
The remnants of the comet's impact still lingered in the world of Demon Slayer, yet now, a far more devastating force had descended.
"Crack—!!"
The sky lit up like a sun gone mad. Thunder and flame intertwined in a catastrophic dance, and the sea below boiled under the heat, its surface nearly evaporating into mist.
The heavenly strike, cast from above by Daemon using a divine treasure, was not meant for mortals.
Even the most fortified city would have been reduced to ashes in an instant. Buildings, mountains—nothing could withstand it. The scale was absurd, catastrophic—godlike.
The target?
Jibril.
She knew it would come to this. And still, she grit her teeth, clutching a handful of fairy beans.
"These treasures are just too ridiculous, Daemon," she muttered through pale lips, shoving several beans into her mouth.
"But I'm not going down without using everything I've got."
The next instant, thunder consumed her.
There was no scream. No blood. Just light—so intense, so pure—it erased all sound and thought.
Everything in that space was reduced to nothing.
If she hadn't stocked up on dozens of fairy beans in advance, Daemon would never have dared use this upgraded treasure.
Not unless he was ready to get booted from the chat group for team-killing a member.
[Chat Group - Real-Time Reactions]
Kasumigaoka Utaha: "Jibril… isn't actually dead, right?"
Uchiha Miyuki: "Unlikely. As long as she eats those fairy beans fast enough, she'll recover. But man... even I wouldn't want to take that hit more than once."
Erina Nakiri: "That black lightning was terrifying. Watching it made my skin crawl!"
Luo Hao: "Hmph! Daemon truly respects Jibril's strength—he used everything he had. That's the only proper way to treat a warrior. I like him even more now. Men who hold back just because their opponent is a woman aren't real men!"
Esdeath: "Agreed! Mercy in battle? Pointless. Crush your opponent completely, or don't bother drawing your sword."
Uchiha Miyuki: "You battle maniacs really live in another world. I could never bring myself to seriously injure a beautiful girl…"
Sakura Tosaka: "There she goes again, making it weird."
Yamamoto Mei: "Just ignore her. Anyway, looks like the battle's nearly over."
Luo Hao: "Yes. Even if Jibril still has some fairy beans left, dragging it out now would just be disgraceful. Her defeat is clear."
For a long while, the screen was filled with nothing but black lightning.
No one could see what was happening—only that Jibril's name hadn't disappeared from the group list. She was still alive… barely.
Finally, the storm ceased.
In the sky, Daemon hovered with Jibril cradled gently in his arms.
He was breathing hard, his body drained for the first time since gaining his enhanced sage body. His treasure had taken a toll, even on him.
Jibril, now reverted into the form of a delicate young girl, lay limp in his arms. Her wings trembled faintly, like an ember clinging to the last breath of flame. She was conscious—but just barely.
"It's my complete defeat," she whispered.
She had used every fairy bean she had left just to stay alive, healing over and over again in that sea of divine judgment.
Now she had nothing left—not even the strength to lift a finger.
In her exhausted, childish voice, she nuzzled Daemon's chest with what little energy she had.
"Mr. Daemon… you could do whatever you want to me right now. Want to try something you've always wanted to do?"
Daemon blinked, looking down at the small, battered figure in his arms.
He swallowed hard, holding her a little tighter.
"…Honestly? Yeah. I kind of do."
The entire chat group froze.
Kasumigaoka Utaha: "…Wait, what did he just say?"
Erina Nakiri: "No, no, no! Mr. Daemon! She looks so... small right now! That's a federal crime!!"
Uchiha Miyuki: "Even I'm gonna step in here. Daemon, bro, there are lines even you shouldn't cross!"
Luo Hao: "…This man… almost became a legend, only to fall into degeneracy. Shame."
