Chapter 106 - OPRJ: Chapter 106

Saga and the Rear Admiral

strolled through the forest.

They intended to inform the villagers that Admiral White Dove would be attending the bonfire festival, so they took a shortcut.

Few people ever passed this way.

The atmosphere was stagnant and eerie.

The Rear Admiral felt a chill constantly creeping onto his skin.

This was unusual.

Asuka Island had a pleasant temperature year-round; a sudden drop in temperature was unheard of.

The Rear Admiral felt apprehensive, "Saga, say something. Let's chat. I feel like the atmosphere is strange."

"Really? Rear Admiral, do you know why?"

As Saga spoke, he slowly extended his hand towards the hilt of the sword on his back.

His hand was loosely clenched, as if ready to draw his sword at any moment.

A faint green glow emanated continuously.

If one looked closely, they could see the glow wrapping around Saga's arm.

"I'm not sure. This temperature is strange. Let's hurry. Admiral White Dove will be here. Just thinking about it makes me excited!"

The Rear Admiral's eyes shone.

He greatly admired Admiral White Dove.

He had even once used White Dove as his goal.

However, due to his lack of talent, the Rear Admiral eventually gave up.

But unbeknownst to the Rear Admiral, these words ignited Saga's anger.

Saga's eyes were filled with unprecedented malice.

This malice eroded Saga's will.

Suddenly, a cold light flashed in the forest.

A sword hummed softly.

A sharp blade slashed across the Rear Admiral's body.

Red sprayed.

Splashing onto Saga's face.

Saga smiled sinisterly, staring at the Rear Admiral, who had been cut in half and lay on the ground.

Saga murmured, "Serves you right for talking too much! You brought such a huge variable! Damn it, damn it, you deserve to die!!! Hahahahahaha!!!"

With the Rear Admiral's death, Red flowed freely from his body.

The faint green glow on Saga's sword began to spread, consuming the Rear Admiral's Red energy.

After some time, the faint green glow on Saga's Cursed Holy Sword disappeared, and Saga's eyes returned to a relatively normal state.

He looked coldly at the corpse on the ground, coldly saying, "Serves you right for talking too much. If you hadn't, you wouldn't be dead."

Then, Saga stepped heavily on the Rear Admiral's corpse.

Bang!

With Saga's kick, the Rear Admiral's body turned to dust.

Anyone whose blood was consumed by the Cursed Holy Sword would become like this.

Saga sheathed the Cursed Holy Sword.

He turned and walked towards the training ground.

He wouldn't inform the villagers.

He would stall, as long as the Red Moon ritual was completed.

Then, the Cursed Holy Sword would unleash its full power, and he would become the strongest person in the world!

Even White Dove wouldn't be his match!

Thinking of his imminent rule over the world,

Saga's heart burned with passion.

As for the guilt of killing the Rear Admiral,

Saga felt no guilt whatsoever.

He had already planned how to delay Ryuya's arrival during the Red Moon ritual if Ryuya interfered.

A bloodthirsty, twisted smile hung on Saga's face.

Sunlight pierced through the gaps in the forest, falling on Saga, making his shadow appear even more distorted.

Three days passed quickly, and Ryuya spent them on the island.

During those three days, no one contacted them.

If it weren't for Stella going to the Navy branch's mess hall that day, they wouldn't have discovered the changes on the island.

"Stella, what did you say? The bonfire festival is today?"

Stella nodded, "Yes, it should be the bonfire festival the Rear Admiral mentioned. But I don't know why he didn't inform us."

"Maybe he forgot because he was busy with the bonfire festival?"

Ain said to everyone.

Ryuya shook his head slightly, taking a sip of sake, and calmly said, "No, things aren't as simple as we think."

Standing up from his chair, Ryuya looked out at the sea, "The Rear Admiral is likely dead."

"What?! The Rear Admiral is dead?!"

Hearing Ryuya's words, everyone was disbelieving.

Why would the Rear Admiral die?

Was he assassinated?

At this moment, Ain recalled what Ryuya had said to Saga three days ago.

Ain said to Ryuya, "Ryuya-sama, was it Saga?"

Stella said, "If it was him, it's suspicious. Every time I went to the mess hall, I saw him. He always came to talk to me, as if he wanted to know what we were doing."

Stella continued, "But I ignored him. His aura was very strange."

Roran didn't care about the Rear Admiral or Saga. She said to Ryuya, "Papa, will the bonfire festival be fun? Will there be delicious food?"

Roran, the little foodie, was already thinking about the bonfire festival.

Hearing Roran's words, the stagnant atmosphere immediately lightened.

"Alright, have fun today. I'll be here."

Just as Ryuya finished speaking, Ain said, "Ryuya-sama, I want to challenge Saga."

"Hmm, sparring is a good way for swordsmen to gain experience. If you want to challenge him, issue the challenge tonight."

Ryuya looked at Ain, a slight smile on his lips, his eyes slightly narrowed.

Everything seemed to be under Ryuya's control.

And it was.

Night fell, and the islanders lit a bonfire in the center of the island.

Ryuya and the others arrived at that moment.

Seeing Ryuya and the others, Saga's anger ignited.

He absolutely would not allow Ryuya to disrupt his Red Moon ritual!!!
