The AR simulated combat training was developed by one of the teachers from a branch member of Potentia Academy situated in the neighboring nation, Long Shi.
After many trial and errors, they landed on this method:
Suits/uniforms that can interact with simulated holograms of students' abilities.
The pain is simulated by sending small vibrations, electric shocks, and temperature changes that all try to simulate the pain as best as close as possible.
It completely depends on the mercy of the instructor if they want to increase the pain inhibitors or not.
Since it is AR, the environment where the combat scenarios take place will depend on the stages used.
Potentia Academy has multiple stages, each having different obstacles to simulate the holographic areas.

The Urban Stage
The Field Stage
And The Jungle Stage
There are supposedly many more stages possible, but the school decided to cut back on the expenses to focus on other technologies and priorities.
