The flaming sword pierced through Obito's body and slammed into the ground, sending black flames erupting in all directions, scorching everything around.

Obito shifted sideways, phasing through the sword with ease.
"It seems your sudden boost in eye power has made you overconfident," he said coldly.
"Let me teach you a lesson, Sasuke."
Sasuke sneered, "Shameless as ever."

Obito charged forward, passing straight through Susanoo's armor.
Sasuke stayed calm, watching closely. Just as I thought—he can phase through anything. But when he attacks, he has to become solid…

Obito reached out toward Sasuke's face.
"Now!"
Sasuke's eyes narrowed.
Flame Control!
Fwoosh!!
The black flames surged around him, forming a wall of fire for defense.
Obito's hand phased through Sasuke's cheek, then through his entire body.
Passing through Susanoo, he turned and said flatly, "I haven't even attacked, and you've already used Flame Control twice..."
Swish!
The flaming sword slashed at Obito's back with a loud roar, but once again, he slipped through it effortlessly.
Sasuke snapped, "All you do is show off that phasing trick! I haven't seen a single jutsu from you yet!"
Obito narrowed his eyes slightly. "Jutsu, huh… Alright."
Swish!
Obito dodged to the side, staying clear of the black flames. Then, he quickly formed a hand seal and slammed his right palm onto the ground.
—Wood Style: Thorn Killing Technique!
Swish! Swish! Swish!
Vine-like wooden spikes shot up from beneath Sasuke, wrapping tightly around him.
Sasuke's eyes narrowed. He targeted the weak spot beneath Susanoo's feet. Since he's casting a jutsu, it must be physical!
Boom!
The flaming sword came crashing down again, but Obito phased through it like before.
Obito said calmly, "Even when I phase, active jutsu like this stay in effect."
Snap! Snap! Snap!
The wooden vines kept tightening around Sasuke's body.
Sasuke scoffed, "Wood Style? Just like that Yamato guy from Konoha. Not impressed."
—Chidori Current!
Crack!
A surge of lightning exploded from Sasuke, shredding the vines instantly.
Whoosh!
But Obito had already slipped underground, preparing a surprise attack from below.
Swish!
Sasuke and Susanoo leapt into the air just in time. Looking down at Obito rising from the earth, Sasuke sneered, "You can't hide from my eyes!"
Swish!
While still airborne, Sasuke quickly formed hand seals.
—Fire Style: Great Fireball Technique!

A massive fireball blazed forward, radiating intense heat.
"Fire Style?"
This time, Obito didn't use Kamui's phasing ability. Instead, he formed hand seals and activated a powerful Kamui distortion field with his right eye—combining it with a Fire Style jutsu.

A fiery spiral storm exploded outward, instantly overpowering Sasuke's Great Fireball Technique.
Sasuke gritted his teeth. Damn... his Fire Style combined with Kamui is this strong? But Amaterasu can even burn fire itself!

Blood trickled from the corner of Sasuke's left eye as he focused his vision.

Black flames erupted, devouring the storm of fire.
But the fierce updraft created by the heat wave blasted Sasuke's Susanoo through the ceiling of the hideout and into the open sky!
Obito followed close behind, and the two now faced off atop massive ancient bones outside.
Obito rolled his shoulders. "Out here, I can finally move more freely..."
Sasuke scoffed, "None of your jutsu have worked on me. So this is the great Madara? Disappointing."
Obito's eyes flashed beneath his mask. "Oh? Let me change your mind..."
Sasuke replied coldly, "I'll throw those words right back at you!"
Fwoom!
Within Susanoo, a legendary weapon took shape, Susano'o bow. Black flames gathered into an arrow, placed tightly on the string.
Snap!
Sasuke pulled it back to full draw and aimed high into the sky.
Whoosh!!!!
The arrow of black flame tore through the air, exploded high above, and ignited the very atmosphere, causing swirling updrafts that gave birth to dark cumulonimbus clouds.
Rumble…
Thunder echoed across the sky, forming the shape of a roaring lightning qilin!
Crack!
Lightning coiled around Sasuke's palm, answering the thunder above. He smirked confidently.
"This is my strongest Lightning Style jutsu, Kirin. Without Susanoo's protection, no matter how strong you are, you'll be destroyed instantly!"
Obito looked up calmly. "Impressive... but it won't hurt me at all."
Sasuke's smile turned sharp. "Maybe not. But it can destroy your hideout. You don't mind if all those white freaks get wiped out, do you?"
Obito's tone darkened. "You're pushing it, Sasuke…"
Sasuke scoffed. "So what? If your power can't match mine, then Akatsuki is just smoke and mirrors. That puppet Nagato, weaker than you, destroyed Konoha, so can I."
Whoosh!
Obito lifted his sleeve and warned, "Then try it. But don't forget, the red-haired woman with you is still inside that base. Along with the White Zetsu."
Sasuke's eyes flickered with hesitation but only for a moment. Cold resolve replaced it.
"She doesn't matter anymore!!!"
Swish!
He raised his palm high, guiding Susanoo to leap backward from the giant skeleton.
And as he landed
He brought his hand down.
—Lightning Style: Kirin!
"Ahhhh…!!!"
The Kirin thundered down, unleashing a fierce storm!
Crack! Crack!
Sasuke stared grimly at the destruction around him and clenched his fists.
"Those who stand in my way are finished. Next is you, Naruto..."
Boom!
But when the storm cleared, Sasuke froze in shock!
A massive purple flame barrier shot up from the ground, roaring toward the sky, perfectly blocking the Kirin!
Sasuke gasped, "How is this possible?!"
Obito calmly walked through the barrier and said quietly,
"The Uchiha Flame Formation, the most powerful barrier of the Uchiha clan. You, born an Uchiha, have never seen it..."
Sasuke quickly moved away, thinking,
"His Sharingan powers only work when he's close. If I keep my distance, he can't do anything."
Foolish.
Suddenly, Kamui opened behind Susanoo, and Obito stepped out.
Sasuke stayed calm.
"Even if he gets close, if I watch for the moment he tries to touch me, he won't succeed."
Zizi!
Obito's right eye flashed blood-red as he sent an illusion command to the Eight Tails trapped in Kamui space!
Whoosh!
Inside Kamui space, Eight Tails began charging a massive Tailed Beast Bomb!

The Tailed Beast Bomb blasted out from Obito's right eye, smashing into Susanoo!
Crack! Crack! Crack!
Susanoo's armor began to break apart!
Sasuke gasped in shock,
"Is this… a Tailed Beast's attack? How can it come from his eye?!"
Obito said calmly,
"I told you, Sasuke, I will prove it to you this time..."
Whoosh!
He immediately activated his phasing ability.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
The Tailed Beast Bomb exploded with a deafening roar!
Snap!
Shards of Susanoo scattered everywhere. Sasuke was blasted backward, flying wildly from the blast!
Obito appeared beside him, pressing his palm to Sasuke's back, and activated Kamui again from his right eye, pulling Sasuke into the space-time dimension!
Bang!
The Kamui portal closed as Obito whispered,
"Sasuke, you're still too young..."
Rustle!
White Zetsu appeared nearby, saying,
"That ended quicker than I expected. When will you let him out?"
The purple Uchiha flame formation vanished.
Obito looked toward the damaged underground lair and said in a low voice,
"Before we find a new base, let Sasuke reflect inside..."
White Zetsu spread his hands,
"Fine. Hopefully, this will curb his arrogance..."
Whoosh!
Obito lifted his robe, and his right eye under the mask gleamed brightly.
"No matter how sharp the sword, if it's not used well, it will break. No one is above Akatsuki's will, not Sasuke, not Naruto..."
