Chapter 13 - Chapter 13: Pill Empress, Gold Lotus

A/N: sorry for not updating in a while. I am currently suffering from a writer's block.

Liu Yang is arrogant, extremely so.

He doesn't care what others thought of him. Insults him with the vilest of words. Calls him with the most degrading of names.

If he is in a good mood, he might just ignored them. Sadly for them, he is in a bad mood.

For that alone, he might as well destroy their entire future of becoming an Official Alchemist.

The moment, Liu Yang's soul power erupted, the soul power of the other Alchemists was supressed.

Their eyes widened, realising that they lost their control over their soul power.

Liu Yang's eyes glows in golden light. His arms spread opened.

[ Heaven's Grasp ]

The Alchemists widened their eyes, realising that now they are also losing their control over their essence.

"H-he had actually mastered the Three Pillars of Alchemy!" Alchemy Master Lin suddenly shouted, his eyes widening in awe and wonder.

The Three Pillars of Alchemy, are similar to the Three Pillars of the Great Dao. The three foundations of the Dao of Alchemy.

The Soul Pillar. Alchemists learns to control and harness their soul power.

The Fire Pillar. Alchemists learns to control their fire in order to purify the impurities within the pills.

And lastly, the Spiritual Pillar. Alchemists who are born with a weak soul talent, can focus on this path. Unlike the conventional path of Alchemists who relies on their soul, they instead relies on their essence.

Normally, an Alchemists will focus on one or two pillars. Mostly the Spiritual and Fire Pillar.

However, this twelve year old boy had mastered all three pillars!

Heavens!

Who is this kid's parents?!

"Im-impressive." Guild Master Shun had long since arrived inside the examination hall.

He had originally came here to see how humiliated the kid is. By then maybe the kid will realise that sometimes there is something that you can't afford to push through.

Unexpectedly, when he arrived what he saw shocked him.

The Guild Master's eyes stare straight at the lone figure in the middle of this chaotic room. His arms are wide opened, as though he is asserting his dominance.

His soul power, flared in a greenish light, litting up the entire room.

When the Guild Master saw this scene, his eyes stare in awe.

This scene....

It is simply....

"So beautiful...."

It was like he was hypnotised, unable to look away.

Boom!

Boom!

Boom!

One by one the Alchemy cauldron exploded. As the Alchemists had lost control of their soul power and essence, their concoction had failed. Because of this, the herbs that haven't been completely refined erupted in an explosion of spiritual Qi.

One of Liu Yang's hands reached out to the sky while the other reached down to point to the ground.

His soul power and yang essence erupted once more.

The formations on the ground and on the ceiling lit up. The spiritual Qi in the earth and in the sky gathered.

Liu Yang's soul power continue to raise at an unprecedented level. With the raise of his soul power, the other Alchemists was stunned speechless.

"He is concocting pills while also controlling those formations."

"Monster! He is a monster!"

Although Alchemy is known as the hardest profession to master, the profession of an Array Master is no different in terms of difficulty.

Both paths relies on the soul and control of their soul power.

To have mastered these two paths at such a young age, just how talented is Liu Yang?!

The formation in the ceiling works as a cooler while the formation on the ground works as a heater. Together, they stabilise the temperature inside the room.

But what if I use both formations as an artificial 'special fire' to create a similar effect?

With this in mind, Liu Yang's grin widened.

With both formations helping him and his tyrannical control of his soul power and essence, the pill is finally complete.

Opening the lit of the cauldron, three Heart Cloud Pills popped up into Liu Yang's palm.

Liu Yang turns to the other Alchemists, "So? Any of you still unsatisfied with me?"

There was silence.

Then, all the Alchemists cupped their fists in unison. A look of respect and worship plastered their faces.

"Congratulations on becoming a Peak Alchemy Master, Alchemy Master Liu."

Silence....

Liu Yang stood, unmoving. A confused look plastered all over the blindfolded boy's face.

Hang on, hold up, wait a minute.

This is not how it suppose to go!

All of you should have had despaired!

All of you should have had fall into the deepest abyss of helplessness!

Forming a heart demon in the sense of inferiority before my presence!

Why are you all staring at me like I'm your god or something?!

Why the fuck are you drooling?!

Are you really getting hard right now?!

Stop it! That's scary!

A few hours later, Liu Yang finally managed to get him out from the encirclement of the fanatics of the Alchemy Dao.

For humans, the Dao of Alchemy is the hardest to cultivate. Even more so for those in the lower realm.

Which is why the moment they found out that there is a twelve year old Alchemy Master, those Alchemy Masters all had rushed to greeted him.

"Alchemy Master Gold Lotus, congratulations for becoming the youngest Alchemy Master in history." A female servant smiled at him as she handed him an Alchemist badge.

The badge is green in colour with an engravement of a the words 'golden lotus'.

Much like most cultivators who used their Dao title as their name - an attempt to cut off their karma with their past as mortals - alchemists has their own titles known as Alchemy titles.

Gold Lotus, that was the title that he had chosen for himself. The reason?

It suits him the most.

When he heard the female servant, he turns to grab the Alchemy badge from her before putting the badge on the chest of his robe.

The female servant smiled politely at him, "Alchemy Master Gold Lotus, is there anything I can help you with?"

An Alchemy Master at such a young age. Even the Alchemy Sovereign from tens of thousands years ago doesn't have such talent.

The twelve year old waved his hand, "Just go on and continue with your work."

Currently he is inside of a lounge area designated specially for Alchemists. The hall is located in the very centre of the Alchemy Guild, surrounded by other Alchemy rooms for Alchemists.

Liu Yang sat on a couch, staring at the statue of a woman in the middle of the hall.

"Hundreds of years ago, our world was in chaotic state. Various empires and factions were at war with one another, each aiming for the supremacy all in the hope of gaining enough merits to opens the path of immortality once more."

"At that time, it is impossible for us commoners to embarks on the path of martial arts and only a seventh grade martial artists and above can survive the war."

"It was then that she appeared. Like a goddess, she descent from the sky, bringing with her a bright golden light."

"Just her presence alone was enough to stopped the war. She later on introduced the path of Alchemy to our world."

"Now, hundreds of years have passed and she is known as the founder of the Alchemy Dao. Today, she is known as the Holy Goddess of Alchemy."

"Even after her disappearance tens of thousands of years ago, the world continues to live in peace."

"Thanks to her, Alchemy Dao was introduced to us mortals, allowing us to easily seek the Martial Dao."

"Today, martial artists and alchemists strives together to build a better world."

The village chief finished his story.

The young children of the village are in awe. Their gazes staring at the statue of the woman that is located in the middle of the village. However, the karmic laws had shrouded the face of the statue, making it impossible for any of the children to see her real appearance.

The village chief swept his gaze across the children. The Holy Goddess of Alchemy is worshipped by everyone throughout the world. She is like a godlike figures ìn the hearts of many, including these children.

Then, his gaze landed on a blindfolded boy. The 4 year old boy looks so cute. Black hair, tender jade like skin and a mole under the lower corner of his lips.

A look of pity flashes across the village chief's eyes. The boy is an orphan living at the orphanage of the village. Not only was he born blind, his body is also extremely weak and he doesn't have a Spiritual Root, making it impossible for him to become a martial artist. Just by standing there, he needs to use a cane to stabilise his footing.

"Little Yang, is there anything that I can help you with?" The village chief knelt down beside the blindfolded boy. He spoke in a gentle way.

The blindfolded boy's ears perks up the moment he heard the noise beside him.

"Village chief, where did the Holy Goddess went after the war?" Little Yang can't help but asking.

"Nobody knows where she has gone to. Some said that she was an immortal and after bringing world peace, she had ascent to the Immortal World."

The Immortal World, ascending, Immortality.

These three words revebrated inside the boy's mind.

In this world, martial artists absorb the spiritual Qi of the heavens and earth in order to temper their body. Becoming an immortal and ascending to a higher world has always been a dream to many martial artists.

However, the path to immortality has been cut off tens of thousands of years ago. At least that's how the story went. When all martial artists despaired, the Holy Goddess of Alchemy descent, opening the path of immortality after gathering enough karmic merits that she had gained after preaching the Dao of Alchemy.

When the boy thought about this, he looks up to the statue. A bright light covers the face of the statue, making it impossible for anyone to see the real appearance of the Holy Goddess. As for how people back then was able to erect the statue, the villagers doesn't know.

A small smile adorned the boy's face.

He has a little secret. Despite his lacks of visions, he can actually peers through the white light. In other words, he can clearly see the real appearance of the Holy Goddess.

As for the reason, in his simple mind, he is the favourite of the Holy Goddess.

If I am the only one who can see the Holy Goddess's face, then does that mean that I'm her favourite?

So pretty!

I want to be as pretty as her when I grow up!

Maybe I can marry her!

"You know, you've been staring at that statue for almost an hour now." An elderly man suddenly spoke, cutting Liu Yang's thoughts. The elderly man had somehow sat down beside him.

Liu Yang did not react. Without looking at the elderly man, he suddenly spoke.

"The Alchemy Sovereign was known as the greatest Alchemy prodigy from tens of thousands of years ago. Despite being only at the Peak of the Mortals Realms, he was able to helps revolutionised the Dao of Alchemy."

"[ Sovereign's Touch ], a heaven defying soul technique that he had invented had allowed many geniuses to easily understood the Pillar of the Soul. [Sovereign's Touch ] became the foundation of Alchemy in these days and age.

"However it was said that the technique he had taught was only the first form. The rest of the technique had been hidden and after his disappearance, the technique was lost."

"Even until today, his name are engraved on the annals of history. A legend that had fallen too soon before he could rise."

"But there is a name that many had tends to forget. The unparalleled genius of Alchemy that had once been his rival. His only equal."

The Pill Empress. While the Alchemy Sovereign had helped revolutionised the Dao of Alchemy, the Pill Empress had taught the very foundation of Alchemy to countless Mortal Worlds, helping those words to embarks on the Dao of Alchemy."

"Alchemy Master Gold Lotus seems to know a lot about their history." The elderly man smiled

Liu Yang opens his blindfold. Allowing a single golden orb to stare at the statue. The Pill Empress are indeed beautiful and this statue is the biggest proof of it.

She is indeed the most beautiful woman there is.

"I am simply doing my filial duty." Liu Yang closed his eyes with his blindfold before leaning his back against the couch.

The elderly man smiles, "It is rare to find such a talent as yours. What about a cup of tea as we discuss the Dao together. This old man knows a good place."

And that is how Liu Yang finds himself sitting at a quiet corner in a five stories tea house with the elderly man.
