c67: Goodbye Whis
One year later.
Inside the gravity training room, Li Yi and Caulifla were sparring intensely, their movements swift and precise.
"Solar Flare!"
Li Yi brought his fingers to the sides of his forehead and shouted. A blinding flash erupted from his body, imitating the signature technique first used by Tien Shinhan in the original Dragon Ball. The light overwhelmed the training room, and Caulifla was forced to halt her attack, shielding her eyes.
"Heh-heh!"
Li Yi smirked, seizing the opportunity. He darted toward Caulifla's side and launched a punch only for his fist to pass straight through her.
It was just an afterimage.
Caulifla had already reappeared behind him. "Afterimage Technique! You're not the only one who can use tricks!" she declared with a grin, referring to the same move made famous by Goku and later Vegeta.
Her punch struck toward Li Yi's back but he spun and caught it with one hand.
"Nice counter," Li Yi said, smiling. "But remember what Dad told us when we first started training? Against overwhelming strength, no technique matters."
Boom!
With a surge of ki, he struck her cleanly in the stomach and sent her flying across the training room.
Caulifla slammed into the wall and groaned as she slid down, once again defeated.
"Li Yi, when did you get so strong?" she muttered, rubbing her forehead. The force of Li Yi's blow had far exceeded her expectations.
"Because I've been training non-stop," Li Yi replied with a proud grin. "I'm already at a combat power of 300,000."
For someone born with 100,000 power level, that kind of growth in just a year reflected extraordinary Saiyan aptitude. Even among elite-class warriors in Universe 7, such progress was rare.
"No fair! You've been secretly training more than me!" Caulifla complained, arms crossed in frustration.
"Dad says losers shouldn't make excuses," Li Yi said cheekily.
"Hmph! I'll definitely surpass you!" Caulifla declared, though deep down, she respected Li Yi's effort.
Then, Li Yi's smile faded slightly.
"I'm leaving in a few days," he said, voice heavy.
"Leaving? Where to?" Caulifla asked, blinking in confusion.
"I'm not from Universe 6. My dad says it's time to return to our universe," Li Yi explained.
"Universe 6? What's that?" Caulifla asked, tilting her head.
"I don't really know the details," Li Yi admitted. He didn't fully understand the multiverse system only that Whis and his father spoke of Universe 7 as their original home.
"Will we meet again?" she asked, softer this time.
"Of course! Even if my dad doesn't bring me here, I'll come back when I'm strong enough to cross universes by myself. Just make sure you're not too weak by then I need someone strong to spar with," Li Yi grinned.
"Tch. I won't lose next time," Caulifla shot back, a fiery gleam in her eyes.
"Then next time we meet, we'll have a proper rematch," Li Yi promised.
"Yeah! And I'll beat you into the ground!" Caulifla cheered, punching the air as she imagined victory.
"Oh right! Dad said Saiyans can transform into something called a Super Saiyan. That form multiplies our power by fifty times," Li Yi suddenly remembered.
"Fifty times?!" Caulifla's jaw dropped, her eyes lighting up with excitement.
"Yup! My dad can transform too he's amazing," Li Yi added proudly.
"What's it look like?" Caulifla asked.
"Golden hair, golden eyebrows, golden aura all over.like a shining warrior," Li Yi described, recalling the image of his father's Super Saiyan form.
"Then next time you see me, I'll be a Super Saiyan too!" Caulifla shouted, as if transformation was only a matter of determination.
A few days later, Li Yi stood with Bulma, suitcases in hand, preparing for departure.
Li Xu stood by his son's side and gently ruffled his hair. "Xiao Yi, you'll have another chance to visit in the future. Don't be sad."
"Caulifla said she'd come see me today," Li Yi said, standing by the doorway and glancing toward the horizon.
"Brother, you know how Caulifla is. With her carefree personality, she's probably still snoring in bed," Bulla (Bra) replied with a sigh.
She had always gotten along well with Caulifla. In fact, Caulifla and Kale were her only true friends in Universe 6. But even so, Caulifla's impulsive and laid-back nature gave her constant headaches.
Just then, a burst of multicolored divine light shimmered before them. A graceful figure descended amid the glow.it was Vados, the Angel attendant of Universe 6's God of Destruction.
"Xiao Yi, it's time," Li Xu said calmly, his voice tinged with finality.
Li Yi cast one last look toward Caulifla's house before stepping to Vados' side. Despite his outward composure, he still hoped she'd arrive in time.
Vados raised her scepter and tapped the air. The rainbow-hued energy swirled around them, and in a flash, the trio ascended into the sky leaving Planet Sadala behind.
Meanwhile, at that very moment...
Caulifla was still deep asleep in her room, sprawled across the bed like a starfish.
"Sis, wake up! Didn't you say you'd see Li Yi off today?" Kale burst in, shaking Caulifla by the shoulders.
"Huh...? Kale, what'd you say?" Caulifla groaned, eyes half-lidded with confusion.
"Li Yi's leaving today!" Kale shouted.
"Ah—crap!" Caulifla shot upright, hair disheveled. "I totally forgot!" Without another word, she jumped out the window and rocketed toward Li Yi's house at top speed, her aura flaring violently behind her.
"Wait for me, sis!" Kale called, flying after her.
But when they arrived, the house was gone not just empty, but completely erased, as if Li Yi and his family had never been there.
"No way... I missed him..." Caulifla muttered, staring at the empty plot in disbelief. Her hands clutched her hair in frustration. "Ugh! I promised I'd see him off!"
Kale finally caught up. "Sis!"
Caulifla growled. "Forget it. Next time I see him, I'm gonna pound him to the ground and then explain!" Her tone was typical blunt and stubborn but it couldn't fully mask her regret.

Meanwhile, at the Sixth Universe's God of Destruction's Temple…
A flash of divine light split the air, and Li Xu, Li Yi, and Bulma arrived with Vados in front of the tall temple steps.
"Li Xu, it's been a while," Whis greeted them with a cheerful smile. As the Angel attendant of Universe 7, he had come personally to escort Li Xu and his family back.
"Indeed, it has," Li Xu responded, returning the smile. He had lived in Universe 6 for more than two years now.
Though he had spent most of that time on Planet Sadala, he had not encountered the strongest fighters of this universe not even Cabba, Frost, or the feared Hit. While Li Xu had a strong curiosity about Hit, he knew his own strength was still too far below to challenge him.
"Sister, I'm heading back now," Whis said to Vados. "As Angels, we shouldn't stay outside our own universes for too long."
"Mm," Vados nodded and gave Li Xu one final glance. Her eyes were calm, but there was a faint hint of farewell in her gaze.
"Goodbye, Vados," Li Xu said, lifting a hand.
"Goodbye!" she replied.
Whis twirled his staff, and with a precise flick, a crack in space opened before them a portal linking Universe 6 to Universe 7. Without hesitation, Whis floated inside, followed by Li Xu and Bulma, their silhouettes fading into the rift.
