Hurried footsteps echoed along the hallway leading to the dance hall. Len and Claude decided to intervene as early as they could. However, when they reached the double doors, Len promptly stopped. Even Claude copied him. They glanced at each other, and Claude frowned. "I don't hear anything aside from the music. Was it over?"
"Did it even begin?" Len sighed and walked ahead, hiding his frustration. He pushed the door open and saw the full-blown party inside.
Glowing lights dimly lit the dance hall, letting the moon shine down on them despite the non-fullness. Pairs of wolves spun and twirled in the middle, while others chatted with their friends. Some wolves noticed the young Alpha walk in with his mate. However, most didn't pay more attention to them. It was more important to keep the interest of their colleagues.
