After hanging up the phone, Yukino's mood became even more complicated.
She could sense that after hearing Makoto speak, her mother's tone had become somewhat delighted.
This proved that her mother hoped their relationship would improve.
And in her mother's heart, she probably thought highly of this guy.
Yukino rubbed her temples; the cute blush on her face had not yet faded, but her mindset had mostly adjusted.
She glanced at the person still sitting beside her: "Why are you still here?"
Makoto seemed puzzled: "This is my home. If I'm not here, then where else would I be?"
Yukino's expression turned serious: "You should go cook."
"Oh, you mean that… the food isn't ready yet. Anyway, I'm quick at cutting vegetables, no rush."
"Are you showing off your knife skills to me?"
"You can think that if you want."
Makoto leaned back and suddenly changed the subject: "With your current overall ability, shooting a short film is no challenge for you."
Yukino was startled; she didn't expect him to get serious all of a sudden.
Makoto continued: "You definitely remember everything I taught you.
Ichika's acting is still a bit green, but it's passable for a short film. As for the other actors, they don't have many scenes anyway, so we can cameo ourselves."
"Cameo?"
Yukino's lips curled up with a smile full of obvious sarcasm: "If that's the case, then let Ichika play the granddaughter, and you play her grandmother, how about that?"
Makoto chuckled: "Sure. According to the story framework, the grandmother also has two nearly non-existent children. How about you play being my daughter?"
Yukino quickly wiped the smile off her face: "In your dreams!"
But his interruption relaxed the girl's mood again.
Whenever she recalled the previous scene, she could almost still feel the warmth on her lips.
Keep in mind, their kiss was just a simple one. She hadn't even used her "teeth defense," yet she was already dazed.
If it went further, wouldn't she really take off?
"By the way."
Makoto suddenly remembered something, sat up straight, and curiously looked at Yukino:
"Did Haruno arrange for you to know my whereabouts today, and did Aunt Yukinoshita call you?"
"Yes," Yukino admitted this time.
Makoto muttered: "Sister Haruno is really terrible."
Yukino instinctively said: "My sister isn't as bad as you."
Once said, she regretted it immediately.
That sentence clearly meant: I'm angry that you suddenly kissed me just now.
But she didn't really blame Makoto much.
So in summary: I'm angry, but not too angry.
And that just made him even happier!
Yukino was frustrated.
Sure enough, Makoto's laughter was unrestrained: "I noticed that whenever you get into this state, you're really very cute."
Yukino's chest rose and fell; her delicate face showed no expression: "I remember telling you before that I know I'm cute. You don't need to keep bringing it up."
"Pretending to be composed but actually embarrassed—the second young lady is really cute."
"Makoto!"
Seeing that, Makoto took the hint and quickly stood up: "I'll go cook. Want some spicy hot pot?"
Yukino angrily said, "Such a clumsy way to change the subject. I can't believe you can pull it off."
Unexpectedly, Makoto performed a French military salute: "I surrender."
Yukino was instantly speechless.
She had already loaded up all her sharp remarks, ready to attack.
But Makoto's lightning-fast surrender completely shut her down.
In the end, she held her forehead and sighed: "Seriously, I'm starting to dislike you more and more."
But when Makoto went to the kitchen to cook, she didn't even feel like watching TV; her beautiful eyes kept glancing unconsciously toward the kitchen.
I care.
Yes I like him.
Yukino felt her cheeks flush.
"Only an idiot would fall in love with you."
Those words echoed in her mind, words she had said before.
For lunch, the two of them ate spicy hot pot.
Makoto had liked spicy flavors even before he traveled through time, but to accommodate Yukino, he deliberately toned down the spiciness.
After finishing the meal, Yukino was ready to leave.
There was a group activity in the afternoon, and she needed to go home and take a shower.
The spicy hot pot tasted quite good, but for a girl like her with waist-length hair, it was easy to carry a slight smell after just one meal.
As a clean-loving girl, she naturally couldn't allow herself to have any odor on her.
"Do you want me to walk you home? I don't have anything else to do anyway," Makoto offered as he escorted Yukino downstairs.
"No, thanks."
Yukino refused.
The distance wasn't far to begin with, and if she let him take her home, he might follow her upstairs to hang out.
She had just lost her first kiss today, and judging by how he looked, it was obvious he still had plenty of offensive moves he hadn't shown.
If she let him come over, it could easily escalate into something more.
So Yukino made up her mind.
She would go home, take a shower, adjust her mood, and take the afternoon seriously.
As for the first kiss he had stolen from her—
That would just have to wait for now…
But there's a saying: plans can't keep up with changes.
Just as Yukino reached her front door, she saw a woman with neat short hair and a charming smile waving at her.
"Surprised?"
It was her sister, Yukinoshita Haruno.
"What are you doing here?"
Yukino's face went stiff as she fumbled for her keys.
"I thought of something fun and decided to come see you, and maybe have a meal together," Haruno said.
Then she smirked with a hint of mischief, "Oh, I guess I overlooked the fact that you went home with someone, so you must have eaten together."
Yukino calmly opened the door, her tone cold: "Is there anything else?"
"Let's talk inside."
Haruno smiled and entered, bending down to change her shoes.
Her figure was quite well developed, far better than Yukino's flat chest.
As she bent down, her turtleneck long sleeves slipped a bit, and though nothing was exposed, her well-proportioned curves became even more noticeable in that posture.
Yukino certainly noticed this.
She never cared about such things before.
But now…
All five Nakano girls seemed to have more development than her sister?
With the comparison, she couldn't help but care.
The two sisters went into the living room. Yukino had just sat down when Haruno suddenly asked with a smile, "Do you like that Makoto?"
Yukino nearly lost her composure.
She knew her sister had ill intentions!
Within less than a second, Yukino controlled her expression and said coldly, "If you came here for such a boring topic, please go back."
"Eh? You want to send me away just after I arrive?" Haruno still smiled and sat closely beside Yukino.
Yukino moved slightly away: "Because I think this topic is stupid."
Haruno: "But I really can't help but suspect it—you went home with a boy for the first time, and you even ate at someone else's house."
Yukino said without hesitation, "We're friends."
"Just friends?" Haruno pressed.
Yukino paused for a moment and answered seriously, "Friends."
Yes, good friends of that sort.
Forget about kissing for now!
