The entire Clover Kingdom saw the glowing, massive Floating Dungeon Gravito Rock Zone flying towards the capital. Rhya's urgency to end his people's suffering propelled the palace forward at incredible speed—faster than a mage on a broomstick.
The palace approached Clover Capital; Rhya, from a high vantage point, saw the fires and smoke from his comrades' attack on the royal castle.
"It's finally beginning!"
Rhya, using spatial magic, reached the palace's depths, where countless incubation tanks held bodies prepared for the elves. Rhya had diligently collected tissue samples from the reincarnated elves; the man who hated trouble had become incredibly busy.
In the two foremost tanks, two figures opened their eyes. The tanks shattered; the fifteen-year-old boy and girl emerged.
"Welcome back, Vetto and Fana! The Apostles of Sephirah are gathered," Rhya smiled.
In ancient times, the elves entrusted the Shadow Palace—a space connecting the human world and the Netherworld—to humans. Humans built the city of Clover Capital to conceal it.
Only the Apostles of Sephirah—ten elf guides divinely chosen—could open the Shadow Palace. Humans guarded the door; elves guarded the key. This forbidden space was meant to remain hidden.
This was why the demon needed the elves; after failing to possess Licht, he needed the Shadow Palace to return to the human world.
Rhya, sporting a handprint from Fana, returned to the palace's heights; he'd been teasing Fana.
Seeing the Apostles of Sephirah gather, Rhya initiated the palace's disintegration, revealing its true form. Drake learned from Rhya that the Floating Dungeon Gravito Rock Zone had been transformed into an altar to open the Shadow Palace.
The upper half of the egg-shaped palace shattered, revealing a platform with a giant Tree of Life magic circle.
The Apostles of Sephirah represented the ten circles (or points) on the Tree of Life. Ten elves stood on their points, inputting magic power into the Gerbit rocks below. Shadows rose from the capital's ruins, forming a distorted castle—the Shadow Palace.
Yami, Jack, the newly awakened Fuegoleon, and Nozel, returning from the border, witnessed the Shadow Palace's formation.
"Imitation Magic: Telepathy!"
Rhya, instead of entering the Shadow Palace, contacted Drake.
"The Shadow Palace is open!"
"Understood!" Drake stood up.
Nero, on Drake's shoulder, looked expectant.
Drake placed the magic stones into the First Wizard King's statue. Upon placing the final two stones in its eyes, the statue glowed with magic power.
"Warm magic. Welcome back after 500 years, First Wizard King… Lumiere Silvamillion!"
The statue came alive; Lumiere moved. "Thank you for releasing me, modern Magic Knight! The Shadow Palace is open; did his plan succeed?"
"No, Lumiere. This youth learned the 500-year-old truth; he's prepared to fight the demon with the awakened elves! He awakened you to borrow your power."
"Secre? Is she like this because of the forbidden magic?" Lumiere looked at Nero, filled with guilt. He blamed himself for Secre's condition.
Nero said, "The demon's seal isn't fully broken; I haven't fully recovered. But it's fine; you're awake! I failed to awaken you properly."
Lumiere smiled. "Don't say that; my awakening is thanks to you! Modern Magic Knights are remarkable. Our failure threatened this era; I thank you for your efforts."
Lumiere bowed to Drake.
Drake said, "It's to protect my friends. Please help us! Unlike your time, we can defeat the demon completely! We'll end the 500-year tragedy!"
Nero added, "A mageless youth obtained Licht's grimoire; he has anti-magic that counters demons!"
Lumiere exclaimed, "Such a mage exists? Magic has endless possibilities! But defeating the demon is paramount."
A giant clover spear formed from light. Lumiere grabbed Drake, and they flew towards the capital.
They reached the Floating Dungeon Gravito Rock Zone's platform; Rhya saw Lumiere.
"You're awake, Prince!" Rhya exclaimed.
Lumiere said warmly, "Rhya! Long time no see."
Rhya said awkwardly, "Sorry; I didn't explain the misunderstanding."
Lumiere said, "It's fine; I understand."
Lumiere turned to Licht.
"Licht!"
"Lumi…ere!" Licht, who'd been lifeless, recognized his friend.
Rhya shook his head. "Reunited so quickly? I'm jealous!"
Drake said, "Enough! Have you found the demon's avatar?"
Rhya's expression turned cold. "We'll defeat that bastard!"
Drake nodded, scanning the ruins below.
"Found them… the two most important people in this battle! Go ahead; I'll bring them."
Drake flew towards them, his fire wings spread.
