"Who are they…?"
Asta and Yuno found the newcomers familiar and asked.
Rhya said, "That's our elf king, Licht, and your human prince. You call him the First Wizard King, right?"
"The First Wizard King?!"
Asta and Yuno were excited; their dream of becoming Wizard Kings stemmed from the First Wizard King's legend.
Asta's eyes sparkled. "It's the First Wizard King! Just like the statue in Hage! But who's that girl? Her ki feels familiar!"
Lumiere wanted to talk to the modern Magic Knights, but defeating the demon was paramount.
"It's been 500 years, demon!"
Zagred's wounds healed; his arm and wing regenerated.
Looking at them, Zagred said, "Congratulations on your reunion! You had a tragic separation 500 years ago. Let me end you!"
The Netherworld was a feared place; demons were terrifying. Demons had ranks; the lower levels were far stronger than human high-ranking Magic Knights.
Zagred was a high-ranking demon, far surpassing Captain-level mages. But lacking his grimoire, he couldn't use his full power.
His opponents were Licht, a genius elf king, and Lumiere, the First Wizard King, who was equally strong.
They moved simultaneously. Lumiere, with his incredible speed, approached Zagred. A light sword shot out; unlike Patri's, Lumiere's was more refined.
Zagred's word-spirit magic was activated verbally; the light sword's speed surpassed his ability to speak; he dodged.
Drake's dynamic vision could barely keep up with Lumiere.
Licht, without his grimoire, kept up with Lumiere, attacking. He appeared behind Zagred, using the Demon-slaying Sword to absorb the dodged light sword. He released a light slash.
Zagred dodged; Lumiere attacked from another direction, striking Zagred. Licht appeared again, striking Zagred.
"Amazing!"
Asta and Yuno were shocked. Lumiere and Licht's combined attack left Zagred no chance to use magic.
But Zagred's wounds healed quickly; his power didn't seem to weaken.
Drake said, "Asta, your anti-magic is most effective. Get ready!"
"Okay!" Asta summoned anti-magic; black anti-magic emerged from the Demon-slaying Sword but dissipated. Asta couldn't control it; it pulled him towards the demon.
Like a black meteor, Asta severed the demon's arm. He was pulled back towards Zagred.
Zagred, having learned his lesson, used Blade Storm.
"Demon-Slayer Sword: Black Divider!"
"Light Magic: Light Sword of Judgment!"
"Imitation Magic: Dark Magic: Dark Cloaked Avidya Slash!"
" Light Creation Magic: Bright Judgment Whip!"
"Wind Magic: Gale White Bow!"
They shattered the swords; Drake stopped Asta to prevent accidental injury.
"Asta! You're key; we'll expose the demon's heart—his weak point. You must use your anti-magic sword to strike it. He won't give us many chances!"
Drake threw Asta, facing Zagred. "Let's go all out! Dragon Blood Mode, activate!"
Dragon scales appeared on Drake's face; his eyes became vertical pupils. The air distorted from the heat, but Drake didn't stop.
"Fal!"
A giant fire dragon spread its wings.
"Spirit Magic!"
Spirit Magic was unique to mages; the mage and elemental elf merged, using elemental power. Drake and Fal had mastered it.
Fal merged with Drake; his magic power surged. His body became red magic; red dragon horns emerged; his dragon scale scarf lengthened, trailing sparks. This was his Elf Transformation mode—"Blazing Fire Dragon King!"
"Finally… Mana Zone!"
Drake's magic power surpassed Zagred's; Drake punched a hole in Zagred's chest!
"Retreat!"
Drake felt a force pushing him back, but within his Magic Territory, Zagred's magic was weakened. Drake's power was nearing Zagred's; his magic was ineffective.
Drake grinned, revealing sharp teeth. Zagred couldn't move; an unfamiliar feeling arose.
They separated; Drake examined the arm he'd torn off, burning it to ash. His Sperit Magic hadn't reached the sanctuary; Zagred recovered.
"This feeling… what is it?" Zagred was stunned, his hands trembling.
Drake said, "Demons feel this too! It's unfamiliar, right? You treat humans as pawns and toys. This is fear!"
